摘要： The analyzer of the present invention is specifically adapted to provide moisture determinations for foods and other agricultural material. It allows the operator to introduce a precise weight of sample into a crucible in a closed furnace in a controlled environment through an access port in the furnace cover. The access port in the cover can be tapered to allow easy access to an underlying aligned crucible and allow an operator to add and remove sample material from the crucible until a precise desired sample weight is reached as measured by a balance within the furnace. The access port is enclosed by an insulated cover after the samples are sequentially placed in the crucibles.

A temperature monitoring system may monitor the temperatures and communicate with a service system to apply corrective measures before the residue can cause significant damage to an information handling system.

摘要： Described is a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) instrument capable of performing analyses of multiple samples at the same time. Some embodiments of DSC instruments described herein include a thermal substrate that provides a substantially uniform temperature across a surface of the substrate. A plurality of DSC units is in thermal communication with the substrate, for example, by mounting the units directly to the surface of the substrate. Each DSC unit includes a second thermal substrate for further thermal isolation, and a reference platform and sample platform to receive a reference cell and a sample cell, respectively. A thermoelectric device is disposed between each platform and the second thermal substrate. Optionally, the reference and sample cells may be disposable chips that can be discarded after measurement are performed, thereby reducing or eliminating the need to clean instrument components to prevent cross-contamination for subsequent instrument operation.

摘要： Disclosed is a method for predicting corrosion and spontaneous combustion of sulfur-related petrochemical equipment. The method solves the issues in the existing techniques that includes narrow predicting range, high workload in installation and maintenance, and time lag in predicting corrosion and spontaneous combustion inside equipment. The method comprises a step of a dual index system prediction, which includes a step of monitoring a temperature and a step of detecting SO2 gas generated by spontaneous combustion. The time when spontaneous combustion occurs can be accurately calculated by using a fitted quantitative relationship formula generated by the spontaneous combustion of corrosion products. The method has a low Labor cost. The method has a low labor cost and, does not require on-site gas detection to be carried out by means of manual detection, which both reduces the cost and ensures the detection accuracy.

The substrate 50 includes a substrate thin-film section 51 having a thin film form in which the thickness in the stacking direction of the substrate 50 and the functional element 40 is smaller than that in the other directions.

摘要： Temperature locale sensors include an enclosure defining a sealed volume with a phase-change material therein at a known pressure. The phase-change material is formulated to exhibit a gas-to-solid phase change, without condensing to a liquid phase, at the known pressure and a targeted temperature, i.e., the material's “deposition temperature.” The phase-change material—while at least partially in gaseous form, either initially or after sublimation—is exposed to an environment with temperatures varying by location, including a maximum temperature above the phase-change material's deposition temperature and other temperatures at or below the deposition temperature. The gaseous phase-change material, in a location at the deposition temperature, solidifies from its gaseous phase to form solid grain deposits on a surface within the enclosure of the sensor. The solid deposits precisely identify the location of the specific, targeted deposition temperature.

By means of this method, a phase transformation behavior and a phase transformation temperature under a non-linear cooling condition can be tested. The range of a cooling rate which can be tested in the method is wide, and a phase transformation behavior of a small volume fraction and precipitated phase information about a small size can be captured.

In one example, at least two thermodynamic parameters associated with grain growth and phase separation of the binary alloy are determined, and the stable phase of the binary alloy is identified based on the first thermodynamic parameter and the second thermodynamic parameter, wherein the stable phase is one of a stable nanocrystalline phase, a metastable nanocrystalline phase, and a non-nanocrystalline phase.
