摘要： A light source assembly includes a light source unit, a light collecting unit, a light separating unit and a light converting unit. The light source unit generates a first light beam having a first color and a first optical path. The light collecting unit has a light entering side and a light exiting side and is configured to collimate and condense the light beam incident on the light entering side. The light separating unit is disposed on an area between the light entering side and the light exiting side of the light collecting unit for reflecting the first light beam entering from the light entering side of the light collecting unit. The light converting unit absorbs the first light beam reflected from a light separating unit and generates a converted light beam having a second color.

摘要： A light module includes an excitation radiation source designed to emit an excitation radiation having a polarization, at least one first phosphor, an output, at which an output signal is providable, at least one first polarization beam splitter, a first polarization modulator arranged serially between the radiation source and the first splitter. The first modulator is designed to modify the polarization of the radiation source depending on a control signal. The first splitter is designed to split the radiation incident on it depending on the polarization between a first and a second of two optical partial paths connected in parallel with one another. The first optical partial path includes the at least one first phosphor and ends at the output of the light module. The second optical partial path, whilst bypassing the at least one first phosphor, ends at the output of the light module.

The light engine module can provide narrow-band laser light to the optical engine module which modulates the laser light according to video signals received from a video processing engine. Some embodiments provide for an optical engine module having a sub-pixel generator configured to display video or images at a resolution of at least four times greater than a resolution of modulating elements within the optical engine module. Systems and methods for reducing speckle are presented in conjunction with the modular video projector system.
