摘要： An optical system for panoramic stereoscopic imaging can include an outer reflector and an inner reflector, which can both be configured to reflect light to a camera. The outer reflector can include striations or other reflection elements to turn the light that is reflected to the camera such that first and second light rays that are parallel and offset from each other (e.g., suitable for stereoscopic 3D viewing) can be reflected by the respective outer and inner reflectors to the camera. The outer reflector can be partially reflective and partially transmissive so that some light can pass through the outer reflector to be reflected by the inner reflector to the camera. The camera can capture a single image having a first portion that corresponds to a view generated by the inner reflector, and a second portion that corresponds to a stereoscopically offset view generated by the outer reflector.

摘要： A 360 degree panorama can capture a view of a real world environment. The view can be a 360 panorama which can conform to a stereographic projection. The capturing can be performed by a one shot panoramic video capture device lacking a display. A 360 degree arc frame can be analyzed to determine a one-to-one mapping to a target projection. The target projection can be a cylindrical or an equirectangular projection. The stereographic projection can be mapped to the target projection in real-time without performing a digital stitching operation within the device. Distortion in the target projection resulting from the mapping can be corrected. The target projection can be conveyed in real-time wirelessly to a display of a communicatively linked computing device.

摘要： An image capturing apparatus includes an optical system, an image capturing unit, a posture detection unit, and a control unit. The optical system forms an image of a light beam from an object. The image capturing unit obtains image data corresponding to the light beam by the optical system. The posture detection unit detects a posture of the image capturing apparatus. The control unit determines based on the posture whether the image capturing apparatus is in a mode to perform shooting in a state in which an optical axis of the optical system faces a zenith or in a mode to perform shooting in a state in which the optical axis of the optical system faces a photographer side. The control unit changes control in a shooting operation using the image capturing unit in accordance with a result of the determination.

An image processing unit is configured to adjust a resolution of images captured by the first and the second imaging units, obtain a mirror-reversed image from the image captured by the first imaging unit or the image captured by the second imaging unit, and blend the mirror-reversed image with the other image.

The mirror is spaced from the transparent member in an axial direction, the mirror member having a reflecting surface facing the transparent member. The stem extends between and connects the transparent member and the mirror together. The spherical body has a reflecting surface spaced from the mirror in the axial direction. The reflecting surface of the spherical body is oriented with respect to the reflecting surface of the mirror such that light rays are reflected therebetween, the reflecting surface of the mirror being oriented with respect to the transparent member such that the light rays are also reflected therebetween. The optical system can be used for recording or projecting a panoramic image. The camera lens has a curvature closely matching the curvature of the reflecting surface of the spherical body. Film recorded by the camera can be used in a projector to project a distortion free 360.degree. panoramic image on a cylindrical screen.

摘要： A method for photographically preparing anamorphic pictures in which a true image of the picture to be prepared is projected through a dioptric lens system onto a curved reflected surface having an axis of curvature which is substantially perpendicular to the projected axial ray. An anamorphic reproduction of the image is reflected from the curved surface onto an opaque or translucent planer surface normal to the axis of curvature, and the planar surface is photographed from a direction parallel to the axis. In some embodiments the curved surface is cylindrical, while in other cases the surface is of conical configuration and the direction of the projected image is changed such that its axial ray is coaxial with the cone at the time the image reaches the surface.
