摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an image bearer, a transfer rotator, an adjuster, and circuitry. The image bearer bears a toner image. The transfer rotator contacts the image bearer to form a transfer nip between the transfer rotator and the image bearer. The transfer rotator transfers the toner image from the image bearer onto a sheet conveyed to the transfer nip. The adjuster adjusts at least one of a relative difference in linear velocity of the transfer rotator to the image bearer at the transfer nip and a relative contact pressure of the transfer rotator to the image bearer at the transfer nip. Based on a difference in image magnification, in a direction of conveyance of the sheet, of toner images transferred onto surfaces of one or more sheets conveyed to the transfer nip, the circuitry causes the adjuster to reduce the difference in image magnification.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive drum; an exposure portion including light emitting elements; and a controller configured to control activation of the light emitting elements. The exposure portion includes array chips, each including the light emitting elements, a substrate on which the array chips are arranged in a staggered fashion in the rotational axis direction, and a substrate temperature detecting portion. The controller includes a correcting portion configured to correct magnification of the image data with respect to the rotational axis direction depending on a length fluctuation amount of the substrate calculated on the basis of the temperature detected by the temperature detecting portion, and a converting portion. Depending on magnification correction by the correcting portion, the image data is arranged by the converting portion on the basis of the mounting positions of the array chips.

摘要： An information processing apparatus is configured to correctly detect a polygon face of a mirror being scanned even when noise occurs in a synchronization signal. The information processing apparatus receives a marking signal and determines whether or not the received marking signal is a signal corresponding to a specific reflection face among the reflection faces of the polygon mirror.

摘要： An image forming apparatus which forms an image on a medium on the basis of an input image signal includes: an image carrier configured to carry a developed toner image transferred to the medium on a photoreceptor layer; a contact member arranged so as to be in contact with the surface of the photoreceptor layer; a trace pattern generating unit configured to generate a trace pattern indicating specific information on the image forming apparatus; a composition unit configured to add the trace pattern to the image signal; and an acquiring unit configured to acquire information on the thickness of the photoreceptor layer of the image carrier, wherein the trace pattern is used for arranging a plurality of image areas at respective positions, and the trace pattern generating unit is configured to generate the trace pattern with the image area whose size is reduced in accordance with reduction of the thickness of the photoreceptor layer.

The write control apparatus includes a write control unit including a process function unit for performing the processes; a computer for generating setting values of parameters used by the process function unit; and first and second memories for storing the setting values. When the computer sends a trigger signal to start image formation to the write control unit, the second memory stores one page worth of the setting values stored in the first memory, and the setting values of a desired page among a plurality of pages worth of the setting values stored in the second memory are applied to operations by the process function unit when the write control unit controlled by the computer writes an image of the desired page.
