    • An information management method includes invoking a client environment hosted on a client machine. The client environment is registered with a discovery machine coupled to the client machine by a network. A server machine coupled to the network registers with the discovery machine. A host environment of the client environment on the server machine registers with the discovery machine upon an indication that the server machine has a communication for the client environment. A direct link is established between the client machine and the server machine and the communication is delivered from the server machine to the client machine.

    • A user-driven document data collection system may allow the user to enter document data in no particular order. The data collection system may help the user identify documents and determine whether those documents are relevant. The document data collection system may also allow the user to input a description of a document, identify the document based on the description, and determine whether or not the document is appropriate for data collection. The data collection system may be configured to display example documents for the user to verify the identification of a document. A user may enter data for a document via a data entry screen based in part on a scanned image of the document. The document data collection system may analyze the data from documents to determine whether or not any additional information, such as from additional documents, is required to perform a particular task using the document data.

    • A coin-operated automatic electric shoe polisher comprises a motor-driven rotatable two-section polishing brush and two independently selectively operable polish dispensing assemblies for repeatedly dispensing a spray of appropriately colored liquid polish to a brush section during one cycle of operation. Each polish dispensing assembly comprises a motor driven rotatable container support for holding an aerosol can of polish, a dispensing adapter removably attachable to the can, and a spray rail actuator for operating the adapter one or more times during each revolution of the can. Control means for initiating and maintaining energization of the brush motor and the gear motor for each dispensing assembly during one cycle of operation comprise a coin-operated mechanism, a starter switch momentarily actuated thereby, and a cam-operated time responsive to rotation of the container support to actuate a timer switch which initiates operation of the brush motor and maintains operation of the gear motor until the cycle is complete.

    • The present invention provides a computer-implemented method for automatically generating and placing documents associated with a tax and accounting related engagement, for example assessing risks associated with an audit. A user is presented with a plurality of audit items and a set of risk levels associated with the audit items and may also be presented with a plurality of prompts designed to elicit a set of responses from the user. The set of user responses being associated with a set of risks associated with the audit. The set of risk levels being associated with a set of assertions associated with the audit items and may include first and second risk levels of different degrees. The method further includes processing a set of responses received from the user in response to the items presented. The method includes automatically generating a suggested audit approach that is based at least in part on the processed responses. The method further includes automatically generating documents associated with the suggested audit approach and placing the automatically generated documents within a predefined set of folders. The method may also determine a set of procedures that are based on the responses. The set of procedures are presented to the user based on the suggested audit approach.
