摘要： Dual-tone horn assemblies and methods of use are disclosed herein. An example dual scroll assembly includes a nozzle having a first portion of the nozzle has a first diameter and a second portion of the nozzle has a second diameter that has a size that is different from the first diameter, a first spiraled channel that receives air from the first portion of the nozzle. The air traveling through the first spiraled channel produces a first tone at a first frequency. A divider plate is disposed between the first spiraled channel and a second spiraled channel. The second spiraled channel receives the air from the second portion of the nozzle. The air traveling through the second spiraled channel produces a second tone at a second frequency. The first tone and the second tone when produced simultaneously create a dyad.

Insulating a first side of a resonating medium at a node from ambient air and exposing the opposite second side of the resonating medium at the node to ambient air results in thrust in the direction of the first side. Insulating the second side of a resonating medium at an anti-node from ambient air and exposing the first side of the medium at the anti-node to ambient air also results in thrust in the direction of the first side.

摘要： A small acoustic device is provided with a housing, a first electrically actuated vibrating plate and a second vibrating plate. A support member cooperates with the housing for mounting the periphery of the second vibrating plate to the housing to define therewith an airtight chamber. The support member also supports the periphery of the first vibrating plate in the airtight chamber with a gap between the two vibrating plates and air chambers on either side of the second vibrating plate. In this way, the barometric pressure in the two air chambers on either side of the second vibrating plate are equivalent and the device is both waterproof and independent of ambient temperature changes.

An acoustical horn having a throat resistance sufficiently high to substantially dominate the radiation resistance of the diaphragm is air coupled at its throat end to the voice diaphragm suspended from said casing, while the compliance of the voice diaphragm suspension is relatively high such that in the presence of the dominating throat resistance of the horn the diaphragm vibratory movement is characterized by substantially force determinative excursions as opposed to substantially linear constant displacement excursions.A method of producing low distortion sound in a horn type speaker comprising the step of driving the speaker's diaphragm in a vibratory movement characterized by substantially force determinative excursions as opposed to substantially linear constant displacement excursions.

摘要： A game caller is shown including a diaphragm assembly that is vibrated in opposite directions by rapid bursts of air from a bellows. The only opening in the bellows is tubular and it is attached to one end of an elongated tubular housing where an end cap holds the diaphragm assembly onto the housing. The free end of the tubular housing permanently carries a cone-shaped megaphone forming a sound amplifier. A tubular cloth case has one end secured to the outer surface of the housing and the other end has a sewed pocket containing a drawstring. The case is utilized as a container for the bellows in a collapsed state for transporting the game caller. To prevent inadvertant operation, the closed end of the bellows may have an exhaust opening that is to be blocked during operation of the caller.
