摘要： A system with function of bending and elongation for discharging foreign matters from nuclear reactor vessel comprises an operating rod, wherein the operating rod comprises: a suction pipe; a bent rod section connected to the suction pipe; an expansion rod section connected to the bent rod section; a suction opening disposed at the suction pipe; an electric valve disposed at a connection of the suction opening and the suction pipe; a filter mesh disposed in the suction pipe; a suction pump disposed in the suction pipe; a touch switch disposed on the filter mesh; and a drainage pipe; wherein a water inlet of the suction pump is connected to the suction opening, a water outlet of the suction pump is connected to the outside space of the suction pipe though the drainage pipe, and the electric valve is controlled by the touch switch.

摘要： A device suited for inspecting selected positions of a nuclear power plant. The invention comprises a boom for extending to a position in a nuclear power station to be inspected, and a video camera affixed to the boom for permitting the visual inspection of the position to be inspected. In preferred embodiments, the video camera is affixed to a pan and tilt mechanism which may be adjusted by a remote joystick or by a control box situated on the boom. The video camera includes an auto-focus feature.

摘要： A portable instrument for measuring induced Cerenkov radiation associated with irradiated nuclear fuel assemblies in a water-filled storage pond is disclosed. The instrument includes a photomultiplier tube and an image intensifier which are operable in parallel and simultaneously by means of a field lens assembly and an associated beam splitter. The image intensifier permits an operator to aim and focus the apparatus on a submerged fuel assembly. Once the instrument is aimed and focused, an illumination reading can be obtained with the photomultiplier tube. The instrument includes a lens cap with a carbon-14/phosphor light source for calibrating the apparatus in the field.

摘要： A nuclear reactor system is described in which a position indicator is provided for detecting and indicating the position of a movable element inside a pressure vessel. The movable element may be a valve element or similar device which moves about an axis. Light from a light source is transmitted from a source outside the pressure vessel to a first region inside the pressure vessel in alignment with the axis of the movable element. The light is redirected by a reflector prism to a second region displaced radially from the first region. The reflector prism moves in response to movement of the movable element about its axis such that the second region moves arcuately with respect to the first region. Sensors are arrayed in an arc corresponding to the arc of movement of the second region and signals are transmitted from the sensors to the exterior of the reactor vessel to provide indication of the position of the movable element.
