Fuse state indicators include a housing having circuitry, a detecting means for detecting an open circuit condition, conductors adapted for electrical connection to a disconnect device so as to complete a circuit connecting the detecting means with a fuse of the disconnect device, and a signal transmitting means The detecting means is configured to transmit a signal to the signal transmitting means for determining an operational state of the fuse. The signal transmitting means, in turn, is configured to transmit a signal to a remote device the state of the fuse.

摘要： A low battery indicating device is disclosed for indicating that a battery has low power. The device includes an indicator having a body movable between a retracted, unactuated position and an extended, actuated position. The indicator is visible when in the actuated position. The device also includes means for biasing the indicator towards the actuated position, and latch means cooperating with a portion of the body of the indicator, when the latch means is in a stop position, to hold the indicator in its unactuated position. The latch means is movable between the stop position and a go position which frees the indicator to move, under operation of the biasing means, to the actuated position. A memory alloy wire is mechanically associated with the latch means so as to leave the latch means in the stop position when the memory alloy wire is in a relaxed state and to move the latch means to the go position when the memory alloy wire is in a contracted state caused by heating of the memory alloy wire. Electrical sensor circuitry is in communication with the memory alloy wire. The electrical sensor circuitry is adapted to detect when the battery means has low power and cause heating of the memory alloy wire to cause it to change to the contracted state and thereby move the latch means to the go position.

摘要： A release mechanism for surge protectors includes a first electrical connection pin soldered with a varistor's second electrode, a function rotating member sheathed on a fixed column and installed between a varistor and a bridge bracket, an elastic driving device fixed into an internal box body, and a bridge bracket fixed to a second electrical connection pin in the internal box body (2). If the varistor is not released, then the bridge bracket will be passed through a soldering window and soldered with a varistor's first electrode, or else the elastic driving device will drive the function rotating member to rotate around the fixed column. An arc shield plate shields between the bridge bracket and electrode. A failure status indicating area is exposed and a remote linkage rod is triggered.

摘要： A surge protective device (SPD) module includes a module housing, first and second module electrical terminals mounted on the module housing, a gas discharge tube (GDT) mounted in the module housing, and a fail-safe mechanism mounted in the module housing. The GDT includes a first GDT terminal electrically connected to the first module electrical terminal and a second GDT terminal electrically connected to the second module electrical terminal. The fail-safe mechanism includes: an electrically conductive shorting bar positioned in a ready position and repositionable to a shorting position; a biasing member applying a biasing load to the shorting bar to direct the shorting bar from the ready position to the shorting position; and a meltable member. The meltable member maintains the shorting bar in the ready position and melts in response to a prescribed temperature to permit the shorting bar to transition from the ready position to the shorting position under the biasing load of the biasing member. In the shorting position, the shorting bar forms an electrical short circuit between the first and second GDT terminals to bypass the GDT.
