摘要： Provided is a chip fuse and a method for producing the same, which is improved to facilitate balanced release of impact and vapor generated upon fusion. The chip fuse includes a fuse body having a pair of facing upper and lower ceramic substrates, a fuse wire support having a vertical through hole in its center and held between the ceramic substrates, and a fuse wire mounted between the two ends of the fuse wire support across the through hole, and a pair of metal caps fitted on the two ends of the fuse body, wherein the upper ceramic substrate and the fuse wire support, and the lower ceramic substrate and the fuse wire support, are respectively adhered together on their mutually facing surfaces to hermetically close the through hole, partially leaving a non-adhered region on the adhered surfaces.

摘要： In order to provide a current fuse with high solderability without containing harmful materials, solder chips containing 30 to 60 percent by weight of zinc, 0.1 to 2 percent by weight of copper, 0.1 to 1 percent by weight of nickel, and the remainder percent by weight being tin, or further containing 0.01 to 0.5 percent by weight of aluminum are inserted into the interior of the electrodes before pressing the electrodes into the ends of the substrate of the fuse, the exterior of the electrodes is heated to melt the solder chips, thereby connecting between the electrodes and the fuse wire.

摘要： A method for manufacturing a subminiature fuse includes the steps of applying metallized coatings to surfaces at axially opposite ends of a hollow fuse body, placing a fuse element in an internal cavity in the fuse body, the fuse element extending from the first end to the second end of the cavity, placing a one of a solder and brazing preform and end termination at each of the first and second ends of the cavity, and heating the assembled fuse body, fuse element, solder preforms and end terminations to a temperature sufficient to cause the solder preforms to bond the fuse element to the end terminations and for the end terminations to bond with the metallized end portions of the fuse body, wherein the end terminations close the ends of the cavity. A subminiature fuse according to the invention includes a fuse body with a fuse element disposed in the body. The fuse body includes metallized end portions to which the end terminations are bonded. One of a solder and brazing preform bond the fuse element to the end terminations.

摘要： A fuse includes a tube, a pair of blade terminals projecting from opposite ends of the tube, at least one fuse element disposed in the tube and electrically coupled between the terminals, and a pair of metallic end caps disposed on opposite ends of the tube. Electrically insulative elements are disposed between the end caps and the terminals. The tube is filled with an arc-quenching material inserted through a fill hole that is plugged by a plastic drive rivet. Each terminal is attached to a metallic end plate by means of a staking tang inserted into a slot of the end plate, and by means of a separate solder joint. Each insulative element includes an axial sleeve through which a respective terminal extends for a part of its length. The fuse element comprises a one-piece metal element bent to form a pair of parallel, superimposed strips divided into sections by means of fusible weak points. The metal element also includes bridge elements which join sections of one strip to respective sections of the other strip, the bridges themselves being non-interconnected. End-most sections of one strip are fixedly joined to respective end-most sections of the other strip to define tabs for electrically connecting the fuse element to a circuit.
