摘要： An apparatus, system, and method for performing electron beam modulation includes an input pulser to provide an electromagnetic pulse; a radio frequency (RF) filter to filter the electromagnetic pulse; a nonlinear transmission line to receive the electromagnetic pulse, and generate a backward wave RF oscillation of a predetermined frequency to travel in a direction opposite that of the electromagnetic pulse; and an electron beam generating device including an anode and a cathode, the electron beam generating device to receive a combined electromagnetic pulse from the RF filter and the backward wave RF oscillation from the nonlinear transmission line to cause excitation of a modulated voltage between the anode and cathode, and to cause the electron beam generating device to emit an electron beam that is modulated at the predetermined frequency of the backward wave RF oscillation.

摘要： A light emitting apparatus receives an external power. A switching unit is electrically connected with a light emitting unit to form a serial circuit. A first electrical connection element is electrically connected with the external power and the light emitting unit. 摘要： A device for heating a substrate with light from a flash lamp having a semiconductor switch connected in series to the flash lamp. After triggering of a trigger electrode of the flash lamp, a first drive signal and a second drive signal are output from a gate circuit. The time period when the semiconductor switch is on due to the second drive signal is longer than the time period that the semiconductor switch is on by the first drive signal. Then, the semiconductor switch is switched on and off by the first drive signal and the substrate temperature is increased to a temperature, which is lower than the desired temperature to be targeted, and is maintained a that temperature for a short time, after which the surface temperature of the substrate is increased to the desired target temperature.

The ballast and method provide for true parallel lamp operation, with preheating of lamp filaments during a dimming operation. Switching losses are reduced by ensured soft switching operation. An inverter switch driver is arranged to provide first drive signals to a shared line branch having a first switch shared among a plurality of decoupled inverter drive modules and to provide second drive signals to a plurality of independent line branches each having a switch and associated with one of the decoupled inverter drive modules. 摘要： A discharge lamp unit constitutes circuit components including self-heating components that radiate the heat, i.e., a circuit board and a DC/DC transformer, and a heat radiation member. The heat radiation member made of metal is arranged in a portion between the self-heating components and the other components, so as to cover at least a portion of the self-heating component. In the discharge lamp unit, the heat produced by the self-heating components can be absorbed by the heat radiation member before the conducting heat reaches the circuit components other than the self-heat components. As a result, the heat produced by the self-heating components can be effectively radiated away.
