摘要： A metal-clad compliant grounding/earthing switch device configured for use within conventional switchgear is described. The device is equipped with adequate and compliant insulation of all bus connections, and is configured to close during maintenance outages grounding the live parts of the circuit feed by a particular breaker. The device enables electricians to perform maintenance and repairs in the event of an outage safely, and without the need to manually install a temporary Ground-and-Test Device. An insulated clam shell is present to limit fault propagation from live components until components are confirmed as grounded prior to maintenance of the switchgear.

摘要： A switch arrangement for an electrical switchgear includes: a terminal arrangement including an insulating housing, the insulating housing including a first electrical contact and a second electrical contact which are spaced apart along an axial direction; and a breaker moveable along the axial direction in the housing to a first position. When the breaker is in the first position and closed it electrically connects the first electrical contact and the second electrical contact. The insulating housing is split into a plurality of separate sections along the axial direction. At least one of the electrical contacts is in a first section and at least another of the electrical contacts is in a second section.

摘要： An easily removable high voltage ground stud insulating system allows ready access to the ground stud bolt having one end directly attached to a switchgear terminal bus, with the other end adapted to receive a temporary ground connector. A two-part insulative enclosure consisting of a first thermoplastic insulative cylinder is arranged over that part of the ground stud that is adapted for connection with the ground connector while a second insulative cylinder is arranged over the other end. The insulating properties of the thermoplastic material virtually eliminate arcing between the ground stud and the surrounding atmosphere when the switchgear is energized with high voltage. The insulating system is adapted for connection with the ground stud by means of a pair of threaded washers that serve to attach the insulative cylinders on both sides of the ground connector.
