    • A connection system for communicating multiple signals between a steering wheel and a steering column of a vehicle over a single wire is provided that uses time division to multiplex multiple signals. A plurality of signals are multiplexed together ranging from two to as many signals as desired. Input switches are grouped together to form a ladder multiplexer, such as a resistive multiplexer, that includes voltage and current muxing. A plurality of ladder multiplexers are joined together in a time division multiplexing scheme that operates continuously. An analog line may be added as a single channel. A marker pulse is used to signal the start of each time window to be divided for all the channels. Time division multiplexing is provided by a number of switching means.

    • A self supporting electrical cable is provided which is especially of use in linear motion devices. The cable is in the form of a band having a crowned or curved cross-section. The band is self supporting and is typically employed in a looped configuration. The band is composed of a Mylar or other plastic or electrically insulating laminate with electrical conductors and reinforcing elements. The conductors are typically copper and the reinforcing elements are typically stainless steel. In use the cable is usually folded back on itself 180° to provide a loop configuration with a fixed radius loop end in which the loop is moveable along the direction of travel. One end of the cable is connected to the linear motion device, and the other end is connected to a stationary device.

    • The present invention proposes a wire-winding box capable of detecting the line, which box comprises a wire-winding box and a detection circuit unit. The wire-winding box comprises a housing, a winding disk, a communication wire, and a scroll spring. The winding disk is installed in the housing and can rotate. The communication wire is wound around the winding disk. The scroll spring is placed between the housing and the winding disk. The detection circuit unit is installed in the housing, and properly joins the communication wire. Thereby, the present invention can be used for pulling and winding a communication wire, and can also be used to detect and judge whether the communication line is open-circuited or misplaced, or has a too-large current. Therefore, the problems can be troubleshot betimes, and destruction of the communication equipment due to wrong plugging can be prevented.

    • An apparatus for connecting a laptop computer to a communications network for access by a seated user in a mobile platform. A cord reel assembly within the seat headrest includes a user interface retractable through the headrest and a user connector for connecting the laptop thereto. A connector to the network is situated below the seat. A seat interface extends from the cord reel assembly through the seat to the network connector. The apparatus provides an ethernet connection between the laptop and the network. The apparatus allows each seated passenger having a laptop to connect to an on-board communications network. The apparatus is for the most part hidden from view beneath the passenger seat.

    • An improved structure of a wire winding box comprises a housing, a first communication cable, a second communication cable, a spiral spring, a first conductive disk, and a second conductive disk. The first conductive disk is installed with an inner and outer rings. A spiral spring is received within the outer ring, and the second communication cable winds the outer portion of the outer ring. A linear groove and a matched positioning block are installed within the inner ring. Two sides of the linear groove are alternatively extended with a plurality of cambered groove with unequal diameters so that one end thereof may receive each conductive piece at the respective position in the two sides of the positioning block so as to retain an electric contact with the conductive ring on the second conductive disk. By the aforementioned structure, the width and volume can be reduced effectively and a beautiful outlook is retained so that the present invention can be widely used in a mobile phone, a wireless phone, a phone without holding receiver, and other communication devices for increasing the convenience thereof.
