    • Disclosed herein is a switching constant-current power supply which comprises: a switching-system power converter for supplying a predetermined current to a load; a current detector for generating a feedback signal in correspondence with the load current; a controller for driving the power converter in correspondence with the feedback signal; and a feedback circuit, which is provided between the current detector and the controller, and comprises a signal holding unit, the feedback circuit supplying either a first feedback signal, output from the current detector, or a second feedback signal, output from the signal holding unit, to the controller; the size of the second feedback signal being approximately equal to the first feedback signal at a given time.

    • A power supply device which boosts and stabilizes the voltage of a dc power supply includes an oscillator circuit connected to the dc power supply, a voltage multiplying rectifier circuit which rectifies the output of the oscillator circuit and boosts the voltage and an oscillator control circuit which monitors the boosted voltage and stabilizes the boosted voltage by on-off control of the oscillator circuit. The voltage multiplying rectifier circuit includes a voltage storage element, such as a capacitor connected in parallel with the load driven by the power-supply device. When the output voltage of the device exceeds a predetermined reference voltage, the oscillator control circuit turns the oscillator circuit off. The voltage storage element is thus no longer supplied with electric energy and begins to discharge through the load thereby lowering the output voltage of the device. When the ouput voltage falls below the predetermined reference voltage the oscillator control circuit turns the oscillator circuit on again to repeat the voltage stabilization cycle.

    • A switching regulated power supply apparatus, comprising: an alternative current power source, a first rectifier for rectifying the alternate current output, a high frequency reference pulse generator, a pulse width modulator for modulating the pulse width of the reference pulse output as a function of a control signal, a switching transistor for on/off controlling the output from the first rectifier as a function of the pulse width modulated output, a high frequency transformer connected in series with the first rectifier and the switching transistor, a second rectifier for rectifying the output from the high frequency transformer, and a smoothing circuit for smoothing the output from the second rectifier, the output from the smoothing circuit being applied to the pulse width modulator as a control signal, characterized in that the said apparatus further comprises a resonance capacitor coupled to the said high frequency transformer for causing resonance cooperatively with the said high frequency transformer when the said switching transistor is turned off, and a switching device coupled to the output of the second rectifier to be turned on responsive to a flyback pulse obtained from the smoothing circuit when the switching transistor is turned off, whereby the said resonance is suppressed by means of the second rectifier and the switching device in the latter half cycle of the resonance during the off time period of the switching transistor.

    • A television horizontal deflection circuit is provided with a flyback transformer and a switching regulator transformer which are substantially magnetically independent of each other and which are connected with their primaries in series with a switching device and a source of input voltage. The secondary winding of the switching regulator transformer supplies power to a regulated D.C. voltage supply, which in turn supplies power to a resonant circuit. The resonant circuit is connected to a reference potential through the switching device and includes a damper diode, a resonant capacitor, a deflection coil and a series connected capacitor. A secondary winding of the flyback transformer is used to derive a high voltage for use in the high voltage anode of a television picture tube. In a preferred embodiment, the flyback transformer contains an additional winding which is connected between the regulated D.C. voltage supply and the resonant circuit. This additional or feedback winding is inductively coupled with the primary winding of the flyback transformer so that the flow of current through that primary winding while the switching means is conductive will impede the flow of current from the regulated D.C. voltage supply to the resonant circuit.

    • A power supply provides a low-level DC voltage to one or more DC load circuits by first rectifying either of the two standard AC voltages and thereafter reducing the rectified AC voltage to the low-level DC voltage. The reduction of the rectified AC voltage to the low-level DC voltage is accomplished by a power transformer which is switched on or off by a pair of switching transistors. The switching transistors are activated by a control transformer operating in combination with a control circuit. The control circuit timely produces various pulse conditions in the control transformer which turns the switching transistors on or off in a prescribed manner.
