摘要： A system and method for providing quantum entanglement using a hybrid space-fiber quantum network are described. The hybrid space-fiber quantum network includes a communications hub located proximate to an optical ground station and also includes an aerial entangled particle source, such as an entangled photon source attached to a satellite, drone, aircraft, etc. An atmospheric or free-space channel is used to distribute quantum entanglement between optical ground stations that are separated by geographic distances, via the aerial entangled particle source. Also, fiber optic links are connected to the communications hub located proximate to the optical ground station. The communications hub includes optical switches that enable any of the fiber optic links connected to the communications hub to receive or send distributed quantum entanglement to a remotely located recipient endpoint via the atmospheric or free-space channel.

摘要： A photonic control system is disclosed for optical control of superconducting RF structures. The photonic control system includes an optical light source transmitter including a laser and an RF driver supplying an optical signal. An optical fiber assembly is optically coupled to the optical light source transmitter. A photodetector is optically coupled to the optical light source transmitter via the optical fiber. The photodetector converts the optical signal to an RF signal. A photonically controlled superconducting RF structure such as a qubit or a readout resonator receives the RF signal from the photodetector.

Each light source emits a light signal with a unique encoding. A beam combiner receives the light signals from the plurality of light sources and combines the received light signals into a combined light signal. A spatial filter is optically coupled to the beam combiner and includes an aperture that receives the combined light signal and emits a filtered light signal. The aperture has an aperture diameter less than or equal to the specified wavelength. A collimator is optically coupled to the spatial filter and receives the filtered light signal and emits a collimated light signal. An output aperture receives the collimated light signal and outputs the collimated light signal as an output light signal towards an optical receiver.

Generating the first laser pulse and the second laser pulse includes stabilizing the entanglement interaction between the first and second trapped ions against fluctuations in frequencies of collective motional modes of the plurality of trapped ions in a second direction that is perpendicular to the first direction.

摘要： The spin-entangled photon emission device comprises a Fabry-Pérot resonator with a solid state optical waveguide integrated on a substrate. Preferably, the device is used in a configuration that makes it possible to tune the resonance wavelength of the Fabry-Pérot resonator by straining or otherwise adjusting the effective optical length of the waveguide. A diamond membrane is located in the Fabry-Pérot resonator. The diamond membrane comprises a photon-source capable of emitting a photon that is entangled with a spin state of the photon source. A first surface of the diamond membrane abuts to a first minor of the Fabry-Pérot resonator. The optical waveguide has a first end facet bonded to a first surface of the diamond membrane. The first mirror of the Fabry-Pérot resonator is formed by a reflector on the second surface of the diamond membrane. The second mirror of the Fabry-Pérot resonator is formed by a reflector on a second end facet of the optical waveguide or inside the optical waveguide.
