摘要： A device is mounted to the end of a log so that a skid steer may use the log to engage a tree targeted for felling. The device may include any number of implements configured for engaging the target tree to be felled in such a way that the implement will not “slip” up the tree or off the tree, thereby giving the operator of the heavy equipment some level of control over the target tree. In some applications, the operator of the heavy equipment may simply use the device to push the target tree over such that the root ball of the target tree rises up out of the ground as the target tree is felled. In other applications, an operator may make cuts to the target tree before the heavy equipment pushes the tree with the device implement in the desired direction of fell.

摘要： Embodiments described herein are directed to an apparatus for determining a direction in which a tree will fall and a method for using the apparatus. The apparatus may comprise a plate including a substantially straight edge suitable for alignment with a vertex formed by a top cut and a bottom cut of a notch cut into a tree and a substantially level bottom surface suitable for stable placement upon the bottom cut of the notch. In some embodiments, the plate may define an internal cavity sized to accommodate a laser light generator. In other embodiments, a rotatable housing including a cavity sized to accommodate a laser light generator may be adjoined to the plate. Embodiments may permit a laser light generator contained within the cavity or the housing to emanate a beam of laser light in a direction that is substantially perpendicular to the substantially straight edge of the plate.

摘要： A tree and debris pusher for removing and gathering felled trees, such as stands of dead cedar trees, particularly though not exclusively adapted for use on burned land from which dead trees must be cleared. The tree and debris pusher comprises a frame, a pusher bar assembly, a tooth assembly, and plurality of support and connecting structures. The pusher bar assembly forms a generally concave or arcuate shape, including a center section and transverse wings. The tooth assembly extends is contiguous with the pusher bar assembly and comprises a plurality of teeth extruding from therefrom so as to precede the pusher bar assembly in the direction of use of the tree and debris pusher and make first contact with trees and debris which are the object of removal. Support members and connecting members provide additional support and resist loads during operation of the tree and debris pusher. The tree and debris pusher clears trees and debris and piles the dead and debris in a desired location without changing attachments or machinery.

摘要： A hydraulic drive for feed rollers of a head of a complete timber harvester includes two radial piston motors coupled for conjoint rotation to the feed rollers. One radial piston motor has only one displacement volume and the other radial piston motor has two displacement volumes, between which it is possible to switch. A tree trunk clamped between the feed rollers can thus be moved at two speeds. At the higher speed, pressure medium circulates under a control pressure in the second displacement volume of the switchable radial piston motor.
