摘要： A flipper drain device of a pinball machine is provided, including a fixed rack and a drain and ball-striking assembly. The fixed rack is mounted in the pinball machine and includes guide rods. The drain and ball-striking assembly is mounted to the guide rods, such that the drain and ball-striking assembly is leftward/rightward movable but not rotatable on the guide rods. The drain and ball-striking assembly has a drain opening and a flipper provided at each of a left part and right part thereof. The drain and ball-striking assembly includes an operation table, which is provided with an operation member. The operation member controls the drain and ball-striking assembly to selectively move leftward/rightward. The operation table is provided with an operation button on each of a left part and a right part thereof for respectively controlling the flippers of the drain and ball-striking assembly to rotate.

摘要： A game device has a ball-activating chamber attached to a central, ball-receiving chamber. Participants compress a pressure mechanism that causes the release of a ball in the ball-activating chamber into the central, ball-receiving chamber. The ball may be acted upon when in the central chamber to add an element of randomness to the game. The central chamber may be at least partially or fully transparent or translucent to allow the participants and/or spectators to view the ball as it travels through the central chamber, ultimately ending at a holding bin. Having more than one ball-activating chamber, the game device may be configured to resemble an octopus.

This invention relates to the general field of table games, and more specifically to a large table game, similar in size to a ping pong or pool table, playable by one or more people. The theory behind the invention is to combine an “air game” (such as ping pong) with a “ground game” (such as pool) and do so in a flexible format that allows a number of people to participate in the game. The game can be played in an active fashion, similar to Ping-Pong, or as more of a set-up and strategy game, as in pool. A unique paddle-shaped hitting device with a hockey-stick like projection on its bottom portion allows for a player to play both the air game and the ground game using the same hitting device.

摘要： The play feature of the invention comprises a planar surface which is rotatable above the playfield of a pinball game between a ball receiving and a ball discharge position. An electromagnet is attached to the planar surface. A ball detector, such as an eddy current sensor, is mounted to the playfield adjacent the housing to detect the approach of a pinball to the electromagnet. The magnet can be energized to suspend a ball from the planar surface which is then rotated to a ball discharge position where the magnet is deenergized to discharge the ball.

摘要： The ball trough is of a unitary construction such that it is mounted directly to the underside of the playfield as a single piece. The ball trough consists of a generally U-shaped channel that is mounted to the underside of the playfield and extends between the drain hole and the shooter lane. The bottom surface of the channel is inclined relative to the horizontal such that a ball entering at the drain hole will roll under the force of gravity toward the shooter lane. When activated, the solenoid plunger will kick the ball located adjacent the shooter lane up through an aperture in the playfield and into the shooter lane. A series of optical switches are mounted on the channel and arranged such that each switch will detect the presence or absence of the ball in the queue.
