摘要： A conveyor belt includes a carrying-side cover plate and a running-side cover plate. The cover plates conjointly define a belt body having a plurality of reinforcement elements embedded therein. The belt body has edge zones and is closable so as to cause the edge zones to overlap and be in mutual contact engagement to form a tube conveyor belt or a pocket conveyor belt. The carrying-side cover plate has a chevron profile arrangement which includes a plurality of diagonal elements extending in both a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction of the conveyor belt. Each two of the diagonal elements conjointly defines a pair with multiple pairs defining a V-formation having a tip aligned in a direction opposite to the direction of movement of the belt.

摘要： An inclined conveyor for elevating or lowering relatively fragile articles, such as whole peeled grapefruit, includes an endless flexible draper belt which is mounted for rotation in an inclined plane. The upper run of the draper belt is arranged to be engaged at spaced locations by a series of transversely extending rods which are moved in an endless loop path within the endless loop path of the draper belt. The linear speed of the rods is less than that of the draper belt and the upper run of the draper belt has end portions which extend in generally horizontal planes at the upstream and downstream ends of the endless loop path of the rods whereby a pendant pocket is caused to be gradually formed in the draper belt between each pair of adjacent rods which pocket is then elevated or lowered solely by means of the movement of the rods; thus, the fragile articles can be continuously supported by the belt while they are transferred to a different elevation without being unduly jostled or otherwise disturbed so as to cause damage thereto.

摘要： A machine for tumble-coating food or other product with a coating material comprises a product conveyor belt and a carrier conveyor system, which underlies and supports at least a portion of the upper run of the product conveyor belt in a tumble or processing zone. The product conveyor belt and the carrier conveyor system work in conjunction with one another to allow the product conveyor to sag between a pair of adjacent, spaced-apart support rollers on the carrier conveyor system, forming a tumble chamber. Products captured in the tumble chamber are coated with a charge of coating material introduced into the tumble chamber. The formed tumble chambers are moved along as the product conveyor is driven, and products within the chambers are continuously tumbled and moved within the coating material to achieve excellent coating or breading characteristics and appearance. For the breading or other coating of food products, the machine and methods of the invention can produce unique "homestyle" coating appearances and textures.
