    • The disclosure relates to a hydraulic assembly for actuating a setting unit in a motor vehicle. The hydraulic assembly comprises at least one hydraulic actuating unit which acts on the setting unit, as well as at least one piston pump with a piston which is displaceably positioned in a housing, wherein, when the piston moves, there is built up a hydraulic pressure for loading the actuating unit. There is provided a driveshaft with an axis of rotation and an eccentric, wherein the eccentric acts on the piston of the at least one piston pump and, when the driveshaft rotates, builds up a hydraulic pressure. Furthermore, the disclosure relates to a coupling assembly with an inventive hydraulic assembly.

    • A modular speed sensor for sensing the speed of a rotating body is disclosed. The sensor includes a sensor housing comprising an elongate tube and a sensor housing body. A hall effect sensor is installed in the elongate tube and wires connected to the hall effect sensor extend through the tube and connect to a wire interconnect board installed within the sensor housing body. A compression grommet is provided to hold the wire interconnect board within the sensor housing body. Preferably, a second set of wires extend through holes in the compression grommet and connect to the wire interconnect board. The second set of wires can then be connected to a control circuit or other device to read a speed signal from the modular speed sensor.

    • A frictional resistance coupling comprises an outer part and an inner part, which are connected to each other in a pressure-tight manner and between them form an inner chamber with a conical surface and a likewise conical, axially displaceable annular piston. The annular piston is moved axially due to the supply of pressure medium, for producing a radial tension and frictional resistance between two parts, e.g., a coupling and a shaft. Serving for determining the axial position of the enclosed annular piston is an axially disposed transmitter cylinder, which is connected to a receiver cylinder in the region of the outer surface of the coupling, by way of an incompressible medium. The piston of the receiver cylinder supports an indicator, whereof the position is monitored by an external sensor. The transmitter cylinder and receiver cylinder form a hydraulic linkage, preferably with displacement translation for monitoring even small piston movements with reliable control of whether the annular piston has reached its end position. For this purpose, the sensor monitors the position of the indicator attached to the receiver piston, on the outer periphery of the coupling.

    • A coupling includes relatively rotatable driving and driven members, and first and second torque transmitting members one of which is associated with one of the driving and driven members and the other of which is associated with the other of the driving and driven members.     • A pneumatically engageable clutch for coupling a rotating shaft with a rotatable member comprises a compressed air passage in the rotating shaft. The compressed air passage opens in a port in the peripheral surface of the shaft. A stationary casing surrounds the shaft and has an annular chamber adjacent the port, compressed air being supplied to the annular chamber. The annular chamber is sealed by packing rings, such as Simmer rings, made of elastomeric material an engaging the shaft. To reduce the pressure difference across the packing rings, hydraulic pressure is applied to the outsides of the packing rings. Control means keep the hydraulic pressure substantially equal to the compressed air pressure. In one embodiment, the control means comprise a slide valve. In another embodiment, the control means comprise a partially oil-filled closed system which includes chambers axially outside of the packing rings, the compressed air pressure acting statically on the oil level.
