    • A bleeding mechanism for use in the propulsion system of a recoilless, insensitive munition utilizing a utilizing a fluidic countermass. The present bleeding mechanism utilizes a firing pin or a similar puncture or tear device. A heat sensitive material blocks the movement of the firing pin. A mechanical locking mechanism locks the firing pin in position until it is unlocked by the melting of the heat sensitive material. When the insensitive munition is exposed to heat, the reaction of the heat sensitive material within the bleeding mechanism allows the firing pin to be released and to rupture a cartridge seal. The cartridge may be filled with a compressed compound, which releases gas under pressure to the countermass container, causing a countermass cover to rupture, thereby emptying the countermass fluid.

    • An unguided projectile-accelerator system includes an enclosure, first and second charges, first and second projectiles, and a recoil-absorbing mechanism. The enclosure has an open first end and a closed second end, and the first and second charges are disposed within the enclosure. The first projectile is disposed within the enclosure between the first charge and the first end and is operable to exit the enclosure via the first end and to generate a first recoil in response to detonation of the first charge. The second projectile is disposed within the enclosure between the first charge and the second charge and is operable to exit the enclosure via the first end and to generate a second recoil in response to detonation of the second charge. The recoil-absorbing mechanism is disposed adjacent to the enclosure and is operable to absorb at least a respective portion of each of the first and second recoil.

    • A countermass for use in a weapon to balance the forces arising when a launch able unit is launched from a launcher tube of the weapon. The countermass includes a first container enclosing a liquid. A countermass weapon includes a launcher tube open or openable in both ends. The launcher tube houses a launch able unit, a countermass including a first container enclosing a liquid, a pressure chamber, and a propellant charge that upon firing and combustion of the charge in cooperation with the pressure chamber and the countermass accelerates the launch able unit forwards in the tube at the same time as the countermass accelerates backwards in the tube. The first container is made of a non-rigid material. A second container is provided to cover or almost cover the first container. The second container is designed with damping characteristics.

The subject triple-barrel shotgun is especially useful for waterfowl hunting for which a maximum of three shot capability is mandated. The triple-barrel shotgun allows the use of three interchangeable choke tubes, that allow the shot patterns to be changed or adjusted with respect to pattern density.

    • To brake a sabot accelerated in a launcher of a recoiless rifle tube a mandrel shaped braking sleeve is disposed in the tube and an intermediate space is provided between a tapered surface of the mandrel and the tube into which the material of the front edge of the sabot expanded. In this way when the sabot is accelerated against the mandrel, its front edge slides along the tapered surface, radially outwardly into the intermediate space. This functions to deform and positively stop the movement of the sabot before it leaves the tube.
