摘要： An electrical power distribution network includes: a plurality of electrical power control apparatuses, each of which include one or more signal conversion components receiving electrical power in the form of a first signal and generating a corresponding second signal, a controller that controls operation of the signal conversion components, electrical power generation components acting as sources of electrical power to at least some of the electrical power control apparatuses, and electrical power consumption components acting as sinks of electrical power from at least some of the electrical power control apparatuses. The electrical power control apparatuses operate autonomously but are interconnected so that the electrical power control apparatuses collectively maintain the voltages and frequencies of electrical power signals flowing through the electrical power distribution network at target values to compensate for variations in the sinks and/or sources of electrical power.

摘要： For power converter pre-charge with line synchronization, a method magnetizes a power transformer of a power converter with a supply voltage from a variable voltage variable frequency supply. The method pre-charges power cells of the power converter fed from the power transformer to a specified voltage with the supply voltage. The method further modifies a primary amplitude, a primary phase, and a primary frequency of a primary winding of the power converter with the supply voltage to match a main amplitude, a main phase, and a main frequency of a main voltage of a main power source. In response to matching the primary amplitude, the primary phase, and the primary frequency to the main amplitude, the main phase, and the main frequency, the method connects the main power source to the power transformer.

The building blocks may be arranged in multiple stacks for DC or AC interface, preferably with neutral or lower voltage connections at the outer edges of the stacks and higher voltage terminals at the centers of the stack.

If DC power supplies (Vdcu, Vdcv, Vdcw) are employed as the power supplies, power conversion between the DC power supplies and the three-phase AC power supplies can be performed. If in-phase single-phase AC power supplies are employed as the power supplies, power conversion between either the single-phase AC power supplies and the three-phase AC power supplies, or the three-phase AC power supplies can be performed.

摘要： A high-voltage, AC power supply for an electrostatic discharge system comprises a chassis shaped to define an interior cavity, a high-voltage transformer for increasing the voltage received from an external power source, and an output connector module in electrical connection with the transformer for delivering the increased voltage to a high-voltage load, such as one or more anti-static bars. The transformer and the output connector are independently mounted onto the chassis within the interior cavity in a spaced apart relationship and are electrically coupled through one or more flying lead connectors in order to facilitate assembly. During operation, a resistive damping component in the output connector module regulates the output voltage and secondary current delivered to the load in order to render the power supply less susceptible to dielectric breakdown from partial discharge.
