The at least one actuator element is journalled on the mixing device (11;49;60;75). The conduit section (39;74) included in the peristaltic pump is arranged to be compressed by forces exerted by the actuator element(s)(22;53;61;80) only when the cartridge is connected to the mixing device (11;49;60;75).

    • A system for dispensing fluid for a food product includes a valve-less fluid block including one or more internal air passages defined within its interior with each air passage configured to operatively couple with an air source. The block includes one or more internal dispensing passages defined within the block interior. Each dispensing passage is configured to operatively couple with a flow channel. The flow channel is disposed external to the block and is configured to operatively couple with a fluid source. The dispensing passages are disposed and further configured in fluid communication with the air passages within the interior of the block and place the flow channels in fluid communication with the air passages. A port is defined in the block and is adapted to dispense fluid from the interior of the block. At least one sensor is operatively coupled with each flow channel. The sensor is configured to detect and to indicate the presence of at least one of air and fluid in the flow channel. The detection of air and/or fluid helps to ensure a location of a flow front of a fluid residing in the flow channel, and helps to ensure the presence of an air gap in the flow channel that serves as a check valve to prevent mixing of the fluid with other idle and unselected fluids the block is disposed to dispense and to prevent backflow of a dispensed fluid. At least one air passage is configured to deliver air to the block such that air entrains and carries a fluid dispensing from a dispensing passage to the port for dispensing from the block. The flow channel may be operatively coupled with a pump disposed and configured to draw a fluid from the fluid source.

    • The present invention relates to a portioning device for portioning out a liquid foodstuff product (2) from a container (3), wherein a hose member (4) of elastic and resilient material is connectable with the container such that product can be made to flow from the container into the hose member. The hose member is compressible in order to portion out product (2) therefrom and it is designed so as to regain, by its own resilience, an original shape after compression thereof. A check valve (5) is arranged to close in order to prevent product, upon compressing the hose member, from flowing back from the hose member to the container, and a discharge valve (6) is arranged to open so as to allow portioning out of product from the hose member and to close when so done. The hose member is disposed in a tube member (8) or the like, and a pressure means (9) is arranged for compressing the hose member in order to portion out product therefrom. The tube member (8) has an oblong slot extending in a longitudinal direction along the tube member (8). The pressure means (9) is oblong, extends along the slot and is insertable therein in order to compress side portions (4a) of the tube member in the slot, and the pressure means (9) is pivotally mounted on the tube member (8) as a one-arm lever.
