The radiation may be generated by a frequency tripled Nd:YAG, an Er:YAG laser or an Er:YsGG laser and may have a wavelength of about 355 nanometers, 2.94 micrometers, and 2.79 micrometers respectively, for example.

摘要： In a tissue-differentiating and laser-control process and in a device for treating hard dental tissue by laser pulses the acoustic pulse generated during the interaction between the laser pulse and the tissue is recorded and examined with respect to its peak amplitude. The type of tissue treated in each case is determined according to the level of the peak amplitude and the radiation energy is, if necessary, adapted to the tissue type. In this way the risk of the patient suffering laser trauma during treatment is simply eliminated or at least reduced.

摘要： An ultrasonic dental tooth treatment system including an ultrasonic dental handpiece, a fluid reservoir housing and a power control housing. The reservoir housing is supported by the control housing. The reservoir housing encloses two containers which are connected to the selector valve. The selector valve is connected to a control housing conduit which is connected to the handpiece. The control housing encloses a power control circuit which is connected to the handpiece. In a preferred embodiment of the invention a fluid dispenser includes at least one readily removable reservoir container supported by a reservoir housing having a pivotable cover and a fluid control valve. The cover is pivotable between an open position and a closed position. The valve is closed by the cover when the cover is in its open position.
