    • A drive sprocket assembly (16) for driving an endless track chain assembly (22) for propelling a vehicle (10) includes a support hub (24), which is mountable to the power drive system (14) of the vehicle (10), and a plurality of replaceable sprocket segments (26) which are secured to the support hub (24). Each sprocket segment (26) includes replaceable teeth (40) which are resiliently isolated from the other components of the sprocket segment (26) by a plurality of non-metallic resilient discs (42), thus reducing noise generated by the sprocket teeth (40) striking the endless chain assembly (22). Conventional drive sprocket assemblies use a one-piece toothed sprocket, or tooth segments having several teeth, bolted directly to a support member. These prior sprocket assemblies generate considerable noise and vibration from impacting of the teeth with an endless chain. The subject sprocket assembly (16) produces low levels of noise by utilizing individual replaceable teeth (40), or teeth segments (62), which are isolated from the other components of the sprocket segments (26) by resilient discs (42).
