SOLUTION: A first query is generated in a client computing device. The first query is written in a format conforming to a certain system which is not peculiar to a specific object. The first query is submitted to a query conversion system, and the query conversion system converts the first query to a request for information which is formatted suitably for processing on a first object associated with a first object class in an object hierarchy. This request is submitted to the first object to be executed in the first object. The result of this request can be returned to a client.
