    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deep drawing type packaging machine which surely forms a space between an upper film and a lower film to form a pinching part. SOLUTION: The deep drawing type packaging machine forms a pocket part on the hard lower film, covers the soft upper film on the lower film having a packaging object inserted in a pocket part thereof, sealing predetermined parts of both films as well as leaving parts of both films not sealed to form a pinching part, laterally cutting sealed parts of both films by a lateral cutting means, and further cutting in the transfer direction to make an individual package. A folding device 20 to fold the pinching part T is provided at the downstream side of the lateral cutting means. In the folding device, the films 11 and 16 are pinched with a pressing member 22 and a receiving member 23, and a forcing member 21 forces the pinching part to fold the pinching part. When the forcing member is moved away, the hard lower film keeps the folding state to form a space between both films at the pinching part. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
