PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel adjuvant for improving bioperformance of an active ingredient of agrochemicals.SOLUTION: The adjuvant suitable for using together with a lipophilic agrochemical is expressed by formula (I): R-(CO)m-O-[-RO-]n-R(1), wherein Ris a 16-20C straight chain or branched chain alkyl or alkenyl group; Ris ethyl or isopropyl, n is 8-30, m is 0 or 1; when Ris ethyl, Ris a 1-7C alkyl group; when Ris isopropyl, Ris hydrogen or a 1-7C alkyl group; provided that when Ris oleyl, Ris isopropyl and Ris hydrogen, n is not 10. Though the adjuvant possesses only a little surface active agent characteristic or does not have it at al, it shows an increase in effective biological performance.
