PURPOSE:To automate cutting work where slivers of a tree with bark and made into wood fine pieces, by a method wherein the slivers of the tree with the bark are supported and conveyed with a conveyor roller having a specific form and along with cutting of both side fringes and the side of the slivers into flat surfaces by a roll cutter of a specific form they are divided into two. CONSTITUTION:Slivers 3 are guided to a groove 7 of a conveyor guide rest 6 so that the surfaces of them with bark and positioned at the bottom of the groove and ejected through the guide groove 7. With this construction, since the surface of the slivers with the bark and a crestlike split surfaces 3b of the slivers 3 are supported respectively with a U-shaped groove 10a of a conveyor roll 10 and a V-shaped groove 9a of a conveyor roll 9, the slivers 3 are conveyed favroably. When the slivers arrive at a roll cutter 13, since the cutter 13 is provided with both fringe blades 40 for cutting both side fringe parts 3a of the slivers 3, an intermediate blade 41 cutting the crestlike split surfaces 3b of the slivers 3 into a flat surface and a cutting blade 42 cutting the slivers 3 so as to divide the slivers 3 into two in the direction of a width, cutting of both the side fringe parts 3a and split surfaces 3b of the slivers 3 and cutting where the slivers 3 is divided into two with both ends of the central part 4b of an axial direction are performed at a time. Therefore, work where wood fine pieces such as a material of toothpicks are cut and processed can be automated.

PURPOSE:To automate cutting work where slivers of a tree with bark and made into flat wood pieces, by a method wherein the surface of the slivers with the bark and split surfaces of the slivers are conveyed by being supported respectively by a U-shaped groove and V-shaped groove of a conveyor roll and both side fringes and the split surfaces of the slivers are cut respectively by both fringe blades and intermediate blade of a roll cutter. CONSTITUTION:Slivers 3 are guided to a guide groove 7 of a conveyor guide rest 6 so that the surfaces of them with bark and positioned at the bottom of the groove and ejected through the guide groove 7. With this construction, since the surfaces of the slivers 3 with the bark and crestlike split surfaces 3b of the slivers 3 are supported suitably respectively by a U-shaped groove 10a of a conveying roll 10 and a V-shaped groove 9a of a conveying roll 9, the slivers 3 are conveyed favorably without changing the positions. When the slivers 3 arrive at a roll cutter 13, since the roll cutter 13 is provided with both fringe blades 33 for cutting both side fringe parts 3a of the sliners 3 and an intermediate blade 34 cutting the crestlike split surface 3b of the slivers 3 into a flat surface, both the side fringe parts 3a and split surfaces 3b of the slivers 3 are cut. Therefore, work where the slivers 3 which are being conveyed are cut and processed into flat wood pieces such as a material of chapstick for a cake can be automated.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly plant a rod pile when driving it by fitting a cutting rotor to the tip section of a rotary shaft journalled on a pedestal, nonrotatably supporting the insertion rod pile on the other side of the cutting rotor, and forming an accumulating void of chips in the pedestal in the centrifugal direction of the cutting rotor. SOLUTION: Two bearings 3 are fitted to the top face of the pedestal 2 of a tip cutting device 1, a shaft 4 is idly supported on the bearings 3, a pulley is fitted to one end side of the shaft 4, and a cutting rotor 5 is removably fitted to the other end side of the shaft 4. A base plate 10 is fitted to the top face of the pedestal 2 in the front of the cutting rotor 5, and a guiding device 8 and a supporting device 9 nonrotatably supporting an insertion rod pile A are fitted to the base plate 10. A dust collection section is formed with a chip extracting door 2a provided on one side face of the pedestal 2, and the chips entering from a window hole 6a formed at the lower section of the cutting rotor 5 are accumulated.

The band body for expansion and windup means are installed in the storage part, and the band body is wound so as to be wound up and down by windup means. Also, an opening through which the band body is passed is provided in the storage part, and the tip part of the band body is projected from the opening. Then, an engagement part to which the tip of the band material is engaged is formed on the side surface of the storage part.
