11 DISPENSER PACKAGE CA2191078 1995-05-16 CA2191078A1 1995-12-28 SAMUELSON BRUCE E; HANSEN WILLIAM L; BLACKWELL ELMER; PECK JAMES M; MACHACEK JANE H; EMMERLING JAMES R; STRAND JEROME E; CALLAHAN JOSEPH P JR; DARVELL WAYNE K; GROESS MICHAEL S; KNOLL KENNETH F; RUEB JOHN T
A dispenser package (10) including a stack of flexible sheets (12) adhered together by layers of pressure sensitive adhesive (22), with first and second ends of successive sheets (14) in the stack (12) adjacent; and an enclosure in which the stack (12) of sheets (14) is positioned having top wall portions with spaced opposed surfaces that define a wide slot. The first end portion of the uppermost sheet on the stack (12) projects through the slot and rests against the adjacent first abutment surface. As that uppermost sheet (14) is pulled through the slot, successive portions of it will peel away from the first underlying sheet (14) in the stack (12) until it contacts the second abutment surface, whereupon the first end portion of the first underlying sheet (14) separates from the second underlying sheet (14), the first end portion of the first underlying sheet folds and moves through the slot with the second end portion of the uppermost sheet to leave, after the uppermost sheet (14) is fully peeled from the first portion of the first underlying sheet (14), the first end portion of the first underlying sheet in a position projecting through the slot and resting against the second abutment surface in a position where it too may be grasped for manual removal in a similar manner.
12 MX1628689 1989-06-01 MX171669B 1993-11-10 WINDORSKI DAVID C
A dispenser (60) for sheets (11) of note paper disposed in a stack (9) with each of the sheets (11) having a narrow band of adhesive coated on one surface along one edge by which the sheets (11) are adhered together and with the sheets (11) being stacked with the band of adhesive of adjacent sheets at alternate opposite edges of the stack (9). The dispenser (60) comprises a base (61) having a top surface with a generally planar support surface portion (63) adapted to support a lower surface of the stack (9). Also included is a body (64) having a bottom surface including spaced pressure surface portions (66) adapted to engage and be supported on an upper surface of the stack (11) adjacent the edges of the sheets along which the narrow bands of adhesive are coated with the spaced pressure surface portions (66) engaging the upper surface of the sheets (11) at predetermined distances from the edges of the sheets along which the narrow bands of adhesive are coated, and convex arcuate surface portions (67) between the pressure surface portions (66) and a top surface (65) defining a slot (68) through and extending centrally across the body (64). The convex arcuate surface portions (67) have radii with a dimension at least as large as the predetermined distances to restrict curling of sheets of paper pulled from the dispenser (68) through the slot (68), and the body (64) has sufficient weight to afford pulling a sheet (11) from the stack (9) through the slot (68) without substantially lifting the body (64) from the stack (9).

2129731 9318923 PCTABS00025 A dispenser (20) for a stack (12) of sheets (11) disposed in a stack with each of the sheets (11) having a band of adhesive coated on a portion of its bottom surface adjacent one edge by which the sheet (11) is releasably adhered to the top surface of the adjacent sheet (11) in the stack (12), being stacked with the bands of adhesive of adjacent sheets (11) at alternate opposite sides of the stack (12). The dispenser (20) includes normally generally planar top wall (21) formed by a single layer of resiliently flexible polymeric material and having two opposed portions with a slot therebetween through which the uppermost sheet in the stack (12) can be withdrawn, whereupon the top wall (21) portion adjacent the band of adhesive on the uppermost sheet (11) will flex away from the stack (12) to form a surface adjacent the stack (12) along which the sheet (11) being withdrawn and the end of the second uppermost sheet (11) in the stack (12) to which the band of adhesive on the sheet (11) being withdrawn is adhered can slide, and the top wall (21) portion opposite the band of adhesive on the withdrawn uppermost sheet (11) will place drag on the second uppermost sheet (11) in the stack (12) so that the force applied to withdraw the uppermost sheet (11) will peel the uppermost sheet (11) away from the end of the second uppermost sheet (11) after it is withdrawn through the slot rather than fully withdrawing the second sheet (11) through the slot.

15 DEVICE FOR DRAWING OFF SHEETS FROM A SHEET STACK GB8613171 1986-05-30 GB2176465B 1988-12-14 ASCHER FRANZ
16 FR8803170 1988-03-11 FR2612901A1 1988-09-30 WINDORSKI DAVID C
A desk type dispenser for dispensing note sheets which are adhered together along opposite alternate edges by a narrow band of adhesive coated on one surface of the sheets comprises a base member and a body member. The body is preferably weighted and sits on the uppermost sheets in the stack and is provided with a dispensing opening therein which communicates with arcuate wall members communicating with the bottom surface thereof. Recesses in one of the body and base and projections in the other member cooperate to afford a nesting of the base and the body. A platform on one of the members and a recess on the other affords a positioning of the stack of sheets with respect to the two members and stability for the stack of sheets.
17 Device for drawing off sheets from a sheet stack GB8613171 1986-05-30 GB2176465A 1986-12-31 ASCHER FRANZ
Sheets are separated from a stack by two parallel take-off rolls (17, 19) one above the other, the sheet stack (11) being urged resiliently upwardly against the lower take-off roll (19). The lower take-off roll (19) is freely rotatably mounted on a pivotable control rail (23) and urged by spring (27) against the driven, upper take-off roll (17). As long as no sheet (13) is introduced between the take-off rolls (17, 19), the lower take-off roll (19) separates sheets from the stack (11) and transfers them to between the take-off rolls (17, 19), but when the uppermost sheet (13) is introduced between the take off rolls (17, 19) the control means moves the lower take-off roll (19) away from the upper take-off roll (17). The take-off device is capable of withdrawing from the sheet stack even sheets sticking to one another or stapled to one another. The control means may comprise dogs (47) on rail (23) engaging in circumferential grooves in the upper take-off roll (17).

A means for slowing cut sheets in seriatum flow by nipping the trailing edge of the sheets as they leave a high-speed conveyor system is provided whereby the sheets pass to a stacking pile at a slow speed. The nipping means is disclosed in several embodiments including a brush carrying roll (24) an oscillating roll on a lever arm and an air jet means. Ream removal means (40) are also provided to remove reams (38) of paper from the bottom of the stacking pile (36).
