摘要	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain stability of printing and to enable execution of consecutive printing, by preventing drying of an intaglio simply and effectively without any danger. SOLUTION: On the occasion of intaglio printing, a film-like sheet 16 is put in close contact with the surface of an intaglio 24 during the time from transfer of ink from the intaglio 24 to subsequent filling of ink therein. On the occasion of offset printing in particular, the film-like sheet 16 is brought into close contact with the surface of the intaglio 24 after the ink is transferred onto a blanket 21 from the intaglio 24. The surface energy of the film-like sheet 16 is small, the solvent-absorbing property thereof is also small and the sheet comes into close contact only with projecting portions of the intaglio 24.
