摘要	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device wherein an ink attached to a surface of an intaglio can be removed without damage to the surface of the intaglio. SOLUTION: A cleaning roll 7 makes contact with an intaglio 2 and is rolled to peel off an ink attached to an area of the surface of the intaglio other than that of a groove 3 in the surface thereof. A contact roll 8 makes contact with the roll 7 and is rotated to peel off an ink attached to the roll 7. A doctor blade 9 contacts the roll 8 to scrape off an ink attached to the roll 8. A pair of umbrella-shaped rolls 12 is disposed near each of the opposite ends of the roll 8 and the rolls 12, in pairs, contact each other on a slope and each slope contacts the surface of the roll 8 and is turned. An ink attached to the vicinity of each of the opposite ends of the roll 8 is moved to the center of the roll 8 by the roll 12.
