摘要	PURPOSE: To eliminate a thread retaining mechanism and to simplify a galloon crochet machine by actuating only the pattern thread guides at knitting points. CONSTITUTION: The galloon crochet machine includes reciprocatable knitting needles 4, warp guides 16 which are arranged before these needles, at least one weft guide bars 24 having weft thread guides 26 engaging the inside of the small paths of the knitting needles 4 in a perpendicular position and are vertically movable in a direction transverse to the planes of the knitting needles, pattern needle guide bars 40 which have pattern thread guides 42 and a jacquard machine. Pattern needle guide bars 56 having the pattern thread guides 42 are arranged on the trajectories of the knitting needles 4 in order to improve the patternability of the galloon crochet machine. The pattern thread guides 42 are individually controllable by the jacquard machine 56 and may be laterally offset and curved in a direction transverse to the knitting needle motion by at least one knitting needle pitch.
