    • In the case of a refillable pencil having an axially movable refill-guiding tube which is loaded by a spring acting against the writing pressure and has a refill store and a clamping device which is composed of at least one pair of clamping tongues and one clamping bush, the refill being advanced during writing either automatically or as a result of actuation by a push-piece, the clamping bush and/or the pair of clamping tongues are to be arranged so that they, too, are axially movable and are to be loaded by at least one switching spring in the direction opposite to that of the writing pressure. Furthermore, it is to have control elements which result in or bring about a rotary movement of the refill-guiding tube and/or of a control part, and in so doing result in or bring about a retarded shortening of the axial movement section of the refill-guiding tube relative to the axial movement section of the refill and to the clamping device, when the pencil is lifted off the base after the pressing-on pressure has previously been increased and/or when an increased axial pressing-on pressure on the tip of the refill-guiding tube which pressure exceeds the writing pressure and overcomes the force of the switching spring acting on the clamping device is eliminated.

    • A mechanical pencil with a lead feed, automatically produced by pressure during use of the pencil, comprises a tubular lead magazine closed at an outer end by a removable actuating button and being movably guided in a tubular housing, clamping elements in the housing actuatable by pressure on the actuating button and a lead guide tube projecting from a conical end of the housing and being movable against the pressure of a spring into the latter and carrying at the inner end thereof an entrainment element exerting friction on the lead passing therethrough, in which the clamping elements are movable by means of the actuating button against the force of a second weaker spring and guided by rolling elements along a conical guide face of a clamping cone, which in turn is axially movable between two end positions in the housing.
