    • A portable, self-contained incubation apparatus has a cell container in which a cell culture can grow. The cell container resides on a base along with other components that maintain the environmental conditions inside of the container within a desired range. The self-contained incubation apparatus is portable allowing the conditions within the cell container to be precisely controlled even as it is being moved from one location to another. Further, at least one transparent surface of the cell container enables observation of the cell culture. Thus, the culture can be observed while the environmental conditions within the container are being controlled by components of the incubation apparatus. Since the cells can be observed without breaking the air-tight seal of the container, observation of the cells can be performed as often as is desired without introducing contaminants to the culture or otherwise significantly affecting the growth environment within the container.     • An ambiance lighting system for a vehicular passenger compartment has a variable color light output which is automatically responsive to temperature changes. First and second light sources of different colors (e.g., blue and red) are positioned immediately behind the air discharge vents and are selectively energized by a control circuit so that the first light source radiates light through the vent when the temperature falls below a predetermined value and the second light sources energizes the second color of light when the air temperature rises above a predetermined value. Sensors are used to detect the temperature of air, preferably in the ducting plenum. Various control strategies can be deployed to achieve aesthetically interesting light presentations which enhance ambiance within the passenger compartment.

    • A system for transmitting synchronized phasors over a wide area network. The system generally includes a plurality of phasor measurement units (PMUs). Each of the PMUs are associated with a secured portion of a power system and measure power system data from the secured portion of the power system associated therewith. The power system data is associated with a time-element. A power system data concentrator is further provided in communication with the phasor measurement units such that it aggregates and time-correlates the power system data. A configurable docking visualization tool or software is provided which communicates with the PMUs and data aggregators. The configurable tool provides an end user with the ability to dock or nest pre-configured forms for optimal viewing of synchronized phasor data and different power system quantities.
