    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a pressing force of brake shoes in a caliper brake device.SOLUTION: This caliper brake device 100 provides a frictional force by sandwiching a rotating disk 6 along with a wheel 5. The device includes: a caliper body 10 supported on a vehicle body; the brake shoes 7, which advance and retreat to/from the caliper body 10, and which are capable of applying a frictional force by coming into sliding contact with the disk 6; a diaphragm actuator 50 which presses the brake shoes 7 onto the disk 6 using the compressed air; and an adjustor 40 which supports the brake shoes 7 on the caliper body 10. The adjustor 40 includes: an anchor pin 43, which is reciprocably arranged to the caliper body 10, and which supports the brake shoes 7 on the caliper body 10; a return spring 44 which biases the brake shoes 7 in the direction being separated from the disk 6; and a back pressure chamber 46 which is defined on the back surface of the anchor pin 43 and into which the compressed air is conducted.
