摘要： A directional display device comprising a display panel substantially comprising a subpixel repeating group having subpixels in at least first, second, third and fourth primary colors. The subpixel repeating group comprises eight subpixels disposed in four rows and two columns. Each column of subpixels comprises one subpixel each of said first, second, third and fourth primary colors. 摘要： In a technology for displaying two-dimensional images on a plurality of display planes placed at different depth positions as seen from an observer to display a three-dimensional stereoscopic image, when a display object having brightness darker than that of a background is displayed, the disclosed method including: generating first two-dimensional images that are obtained by projecting the background plane onto the plurality of display planes along a line of sight of the observer, and displaying the first two-dimensional images on the display planes respectively wherein brightness of each of the first two-dimensional images is changed independently for each display plane; and generating second two-dimensional images that are obtained by projecting the display object onto the plurality of display planes along the line of sight of the observer, and displaying the second two-dimensional images on the display planes respectively in which brightness of each of the two-dimensional images is set to be the same among the display planes. In addition, when using transmissive display plane, when a display object having brightness brighter than that of a background is displayed, transparency of the first two-dimensional images are changed independently for each display plane, and transparency of each of the two-dimensional images is set to be the same among the display planes.

摘要： An autostereoscopic three-dimensional liquid crystal display system and a method of making the system. The system includes a collimated backlight, a first light diffracting hologram, a second right-left interlacing hologram and a liquid crystal display. If the backlight is not collimated, a micro-collimator array is used to collimate the backlight prior to passing into the first hologram. The second right-left interlacing hologram is formed through a two step process. The process comprises positioning a photolithographic mask and a view region mask in a first position, recording the first holographic recording in the first position, shifting the photolithographic mask and the view region mask to a second position and recording the second holographic recording in the second position.

摘要： A thin stereoscopic display which enables plural persons to simultaneously observe stereoscopic images includes a color liquid crystal plate for displaying stereo-pairs composed of left and right eye perspectives in time-interlaced manner, a monochrome liquid crystal TV display disposed behind the color liquid crystal plate for displaying binary and inverted binary images of half face of each observer so as to be synchronized with the time-interlaced display of the color liquid crystal plate, and an arrayed convex lens disposed between the color liquid crystal plate and the monochrome liquid crystal TV display so as to focus the observers' optical images on the screen of the monochrome liquid crystal TV display in geometrical agreement with the observers' face images displayed thereby. The arrayed convex lens distributes light emitted from the binary and inverted binary images of half face of each observer to the left and right eyes of each observer through the color liquid crystal plate, respectively, whereby the left and right eye perspectives of the stereo-pairs displayed by the liquid crystal plate reach the left and right eyes of each observer, respectively.

According to the present disclosure, it is able to generate driving signal for driving the polarization control panel included in the 3D display device merely by a commonly-used integrated chip.
