    • A color filter defect correction device and a method are provided to correct defects of a color filter properly on the basis of both brightness and saturation of pixels. A color filter defect correction device(101) for correcting defects of a color filter on which pixels are aligned is composed of an image processing unit(3) for detecting defects of the pixels on the basis of the saturation of pixels and a correcting unit(50) for correcting the pixel with the detected defects by irradiating a laser beam or applying ink. In particular, the image processing unit detects defects of the pixels to be checked by comparing the brightness of the pixels to be checked and the other pixels and detects defects of the corrected pixels on the basis of saturation of the corrected pixels. The correcting unit corrects the modified pixels having defects again.

    • A color filter defect correcting apparatus and a color filter defect correcting method are provided to detect and correct defects of pixels in pixel units by improving an output of laser beams. A color filter defect correcting apparatus amends defects of a color filter in which plural pictures each having plural pixels are arranged. An image processing unit(3) compares brightness of pixels of a defect detecting target with the brightness of the pixels other than the pixels of the defect detecting target, and detects the defects of the pixels of the defect detecting target on the compared result. A correction processing unit(50) performs selectively a laser beam irradiation process and an ink coating process for the color filter on the basis of the detected result. A memory unit memorizes plural kinds of irradiation ranges of the laser beams. The correction processing unit includes a variable slit unit(8) for adjusting a size of a slit on the basis of an irradiation range selected by the correction processing unit, and a laser irradiation unit(7) for irradiating the laser beams through the variable slit unit onto the color filter.

    • A method for grinding a tape, and a device thereof are provided to adjust the force exerting on a projection unit by a head pin, adequately and to process the projection unit with high accuracy by limiting the variation of the force on exerted on the projection unit. A device for grinding a tape comprises a head pin, a tape grinding unit, a measuring unit, and a control unit. The front end portion of the head pin contacts with the other surface of the tape and moves along the vertical coordinate shaft of a substrate surface. The tape grinding unit is installed to grind a projection unit(22) by the surface of the grinding tape. The measuring unit is installed to measure the height of the projection unit. The control unit is installed to divide the height of the projection unit into the process range over two step and to vary the force exerting on the projection unit.
