The carrier member includes a dielectric carrier shell having a longitudinal axis. A plurality of enclosed channels and at least one open channel extend longitudinally through the carrier member. An electrical carrier conductor extends through each enclosed channel. The open channel has a longitudinally extending opening to receive at least one conductor cable insertable laterally into the at least one open channel. The electrical connector includes a dielectric connector shell having a like plurality of connector channels to the carrier member extending longitudinally therethrough. A connector conductor extends longitudinally through each connector channel and beyond each of the first and second connector ends. Each connector conductor is insertable into the carrier member such that each connector conductor is in electrical contact with the respective carrier conductor in the carrier member.
