    • A method and poultry feeder for feeding poultry as the poultry matures, the poultry feeder comprising a feeder conduit mountable in suspension to a feed delivery tube with the upper end in communication with the feed delivery tube for receiving feed therefrom, and the lower end open to permit gravity-flow of feed therethrough, a feed pan underlying the feeder conduit and formed with at least one opening for feeding feed therethrough, and a flow-control device actuatable to an open condition to permit gravity-flow of feed through the opening, or to a closed position to block gravity-flow of feed through the opening, and thereby to cause the feed from the feeder conduit to be retained in the feed pan.
