摘要： A method to process radiological images is provided. The method comprises partitioning a radiological image of a region to be treated into a superimposition of layers, the region to be treated comprising at least one first structure and a second structure, wherein one layer solely comprises part of the first structure to be isolated from the remainder of the image, the layer solely comprising that part of the first structure to be isolated from the remainder of the image being determined by means of a parametric model of the first structure. The method further comprises determining an image of the region to be treated from the layering thus obtained, in which the isolated part of the first structure is omitted.

The embodiment can include a liquid pump configured to circulate a liquid through the circulation loop, from an inlet of the channel to an outlet of the channel and a bubble injector coupled to the circulation loop proximal to the inlet of the channel and configured to flow a gas to form a plurality of gas bubbles in the channel, with each of the plurality of gas bubbles monodispersed across the channel, with segments of liquid separating successive gas bubbles of the plurality of gas bubbles.

摘要： A method of detection and compensation for respiratory motion improves the registration between a 3D pre-operation image and X-ray images acquired during a cardiac intervention. By synchronizing the X-ray images with the electrocardiogram, the disclosed method thus eliminates the motion related to the heart cycle from these images, thus isolating the contribution of the respiratory motion. From this point, an algorithm is proposed capable of attributing the motion remaining in the radiography images to respiration. The algorithm also enables this motion to be detected and compensated for in order to obtain a registration between 3D cardiac images and radiography images.

摘要： A method is provided for monitoring the radiation dose in a body to be imaged using an X-ray imaging device comprising an X-ray emitting source, a detector, a processing unit and a display. The method comprises exposing the body to be imaged to radiation doses to acquire initial 2D images; computing a 3D model of the body in relation to the initial 2D images using the processing unit; applying a model of the interactions between matter and radiation to the 3D model of the body using the processing unit; calculating, using the processing unit, a dose map of the distribution of the accumulated radiation dose in the 3D model for parameters that define the conditions of X-ray exposure; and displaying the 3D model of the body oriented according to the position of the emitting source with the dose map.

The method has the steps of acquiring a real-time fluoroscopic image of the region of interest by exposing the region of interest to a first dose of X-rays, the fluoroscopic image showing background structures and instrument introduced into the vessels; subtracting a mask image from the acquired real-time fluoroscopic image to generate a subtracted fluoroscopic image showing only the instrument; combining the subtracted fluoroscopic image and a pre-recorded diagnostic image of the region of interest showing only the blood vessels to generate a combined image showing both the blood vessels and the instrument; and displaying the combined image on a screen for viewing. The mask image is determined from a fluoroscopic image acquired prior to the introduction of the instrument into the vessels by exposing the region to an X-ray does equivalent to the first dose.
