    • PURPOSE: To obtain a good coating film even if the change of weather conditions is fast by changing the ratio of at least one diluents according to at least one parameters among the weather conditions near the object under coating. CONSTITUTION: While the coating film raw materials from coating film raw material distribution circuits 22a to 22c are measured with a flow meter 27 by a pump 25, the materials are forcibly fed. The diluents (for example, xylene and toluene) are supplied from mixing means 34a, 34b and are mixed and diluted with a manifold 35. The diluted mixture is sprayed toward the coating object 14 from an electrostatic sprayer 12. A computer 30 regulates pressure regulators 37a, 37b and changes the addition ratio of at least one kind of the diluents in accordance with the environmental conditions in a booth 11 detected by a temp. sensor 40 and a relative humidity sensor 41 and the viscosity of the coating film detected by a viscosity measuring instrument 43 with temp. compensation, thereby changing the addition ratio of at least one diluents.

    • PURPOSE: To provide an electrostatic spraying device capable of homogeneously and efficiently coating a coating object to a wide area of the object well charging powder material and decreasing the ion streams heading toward the coating object. CONSTITUTION: The electrostatic spraying device 1 for electrostatically spraying powder material used for electrostatic coating is provided with an ionizing head 16 having an annular ejection port 2 formed by coupling of a deflector 58 constituting a charging electrode and a bowl-type member 56 so as to have a prescribed spacing in such a manner that this head is rotated by a turbine 14 driven by compressed air. The ionizing head 16 is provided with a counter electrode 54 backward in the axial direction as an ion trap. The powder is sent together with air, is passed through the ionizing head 16 and is evenly charged and ejected by the ejection port 62. Many of the simultaneously ejected ions are absorbed into the counter electrode 45.
