摘要： A method provides for output caching of a portion of a web page, and thereby allows the cached portion to be used in web pages for a predetermined period of time without the need to regenerate that portion of the web page. A server computing system receives a request for information from a client computer system. The server computing system creates, in response to the received request, a page having portions. When an output cache contains a portion of the page, the portion of the page contained in the output cache is retrieved from the output cache and when the output cache does not contain a portion of the page, the portion of the page not contained in the output cache is retrieved from another source. The contents of the page are then sent to the client computing system.

The model provides a plurality of elements arranged according to a hierarchy in which each of the elements represents different programmatic constructs of a compile unit represented by the model. In one aspect, a code generator interface may be employed to facilitate generation of a high-level language from the language-neutral representation. In another aspect, a code parser may be employed to generate from source code a language neutral representation according to the model. In yet another aspect, a compiler interface may be utilized to transform the language-neutral representation into a low-level language, such as an executable assembly or an intermediate language.

摘要： An object-oriented framework comprises system services, objects, and integration interfaces which unify retrieval and browsing of data among multiple different application programs, document formats, and local and remote data storage sites. The framework provides a hyperlink object which encapsulates general hyperlink navigation functions. The hyperlink object has a moniker which references a hyperlink's target, and a location string which designates a location in the target. The hyperlink object uses the moniker to retrieve the target as an object in the framework, and causes the object to display a view of the target at the location. The framework also provides a browse context object which maintains a navigation stack of navigated hyperlink targets, and allows passing of window and navigation tool bar position information to a frame in which the target is displayed to effect the appearance of window reuse when navigating between frames. The framework also includes a cache and table of running objects to speed return navigation to recently navigated targets.

摘要： Server-side control objects corresponding to client-side user interface elements are created in a control object hierarchy. Properties of the control objects may be data bound to properties of a server-side data source (e.g., a server-side database). Hierarchical data binding relationships are established between properties of control objects and properties of a data source. Template declarations are used to define the configuration of binding container objects that correspond to data objects in the data source. An iterating control object determines the number of data objects in the data source increase according number of binding container objects. A simple data binding types include without limitation: (1) unidirectional data binding from the data source to a control object; (2) unidirectional data binding from a control object to the data source; and (3) bidirectional data binding between a control object and the data source.
