摘要： A non-contacting electrostatic measurement apparatus including a vibratory element and an electrode, affixed to the vibratory element, suitable for sensing a capacitive coupling relationship with an electrostatic field to produce a signal indicative of the magnitude of the electrostatic field. The signal is transmitted to signal processing circuitry via conductive fibers so as to impose little mechanical loading on the vibrating electrode. The electrode may be either unshielded, for an electrically floating electrostatic voltmeter, or shielded, for an electrostatic voltmeter employing electrically grounded components.

摘要： An apparatus for detecting the level of material in a container. The apparatus comprises a power source and a first electrode, positioned adjacent the container, electrically connected to the power source. The apparatus further comprises a second electrode. The second electrode is spaced from the first electrode and positioned adjacent the container. The apparatus further comprises an electrical amplifier which is electrically connected to the second electrode. The amplifier amplifies a current induced in the second electrode and generates a voltage signal. The amplifier is adapted to maintain the second electrode at a virtual ground to minimize environmental impedance effects. The apparatus further comprises a rectifier, electrically connected to the amplifier, for rectifying the voltage signal and a comparator, electrically connected to the rectifier, for comparing the voltage signal to a predetermined voltage signal corresponding to the container being full with material.

摘要： A high voltage connector is formed of a composite pultruded member that has an inner core including a plurality of high resistance electroconductive strands carried in a resin binder. The inner core is surrounded by an outer nonconductive shell, and extends from a laser cut end of the outer shell to a contact face. During formation of the contact using laser techniques, portions of the outer shell are removed to expose the inner core, the resin binder of the inner core may be removed, and the strands of the inner core may be fibrillated and patterned as desired. In one embodiment, the resistance of the strands of the inner core of the high voltage connector provide a load resistor for a circuit to which the connector may be connected.

摘要： A photoreceptor voltage control having a comparator circuit for determining the error between the photoreceptor voltage and the desired voltage. The photoreceptor voltage is detected by a non-contacting detector and the photoreceptor voltage signal is fed directly to the comparator circuit which determines if the error is too positive, too negative or within acceptable limits. This information is then fed by a DC isolation system to the machine logic control which in turn corrects a corona supply voltage to obtain the desired photoreceptor voltage.
