摘要： A lavatory system including a countertop and a first hand washing station is provided. The first hand washing station includes a basin supported by the countertop and a faucet supported by the countertop. The lavatory system also includes a hand dryer including a housing supported by the countertop. The housing defines a cavity in which a user's hands are inserted during drying, and a motor configured to generate blown air which is supplied to the cavity. The housing is located such that the user's hands may be inserted into the cavity without the user leaving the first hand washing station.

摘要： Systems and methods for a lavatory system (10) are described that include a bidirectional hand dryer (50) having a top, bottom, back, and right side and multiple sensors and LEDs. Upper and lower nozzles (160a, 160b) are also provided and respectively connected to upper and lower plenums (142, 144). At least two flexible air delivery hoses are connected to the plenums (142, 144). A motor housing (70) is provided and includes a motor (74), ports connected to the hoses, noise abatement features, and a motor microcontroller (99). A hand-receiving cavity (52) exists between the top, back, right, and bottom side for receiving at least one hand (166) of a user. Tips (162a) are connected to the nozzles (160a, 160b) and emit high speed colliding columns of air to shear water off of the user's hand (166). The columns of air are spaced and calibrated in such a way as to reduce forces on the user's hand which would otherwise move the hand toward the side surfaces.

The lavatory system comprises a receptacle defining a hand washing area, a fixture configured to deliver water to the receptacle, and a capacitive sensing system configured to detect the presence of a user and actuate the fixture. The capacitive sensing system (100) comprises a first sense electrode (300) coupled to the receptacle and configured to measure a first capacitive value, a second sense electrode (305) coupled to the receptacle spaced apart from the, first sense electrode and configured to measure a second capacitive value, and a circuit (150) configured to control operation of the fixture in response to a change in the first capacitive value relative to the second capacitive value.

摘要： A lavatory system having at least one wash station and at least one electrically operated fixture is disclosed. The lavatory system includes a control system for operating the at least one electrically operated fixture. The control system comprises a power supply system, a detection system, and a fixture actuation system. According to one embodiment, the detection system comprises a processor, a sensor configured to detect a user within a sensing region, and a sampling circuit configured to store a signal from the sensor that is used by the processor to activate the fixture. According to another embodiment, the power supply system includes a power source providing an output voltage for operating components of the control system, a detector monitoring the output voltage, and a switch for electrically disconnecting the power source from the components of the control system if the output voltage drops below a predetermined level. According to one embodiment, the power source is at least one photovoltaic cell coupled to the lavatory system.

The plurality of power sources are electrically coupled to each other and configured to provide an output voltage for powering the at least one fixture. The electrical coupling of the power sources is selectively adjustable between a first arrangement in which the power sources are electrically coupled to each other in parallel and a second arrangement in which the power sources are electrically coupled to each other in series. The switch device is configured to adjust the said electrical coupling of the power sources between the first arrangement and the second arrangement.
