摘要： A stick-shaped material propelling container (10) is comprised of a tubular body (12) provided with a spiral groove (18) in the inside thereof, a guide sleeve (14) inserted into the tubular body (12) that is not movable in an axial direction, but rotatable relative to the tubular body, and which is provided with guide grooves (20) extending in the axial direction. A holder (16) for holding stick-shaped material, is provided with projections (32) to engage the spiral groove, so that a stick-shaped material held in the holder can be selectively extended from or retracted into the stick-shaped material propelling container. The stick-shaped material propelling container further includes a slit (34) formed in the axial direction through a side wall portion of the holder where there are no projections.

摘要： A double-chuck mechanical pencil comprises: a barrel (1); a barrel cap (2) attached to the barrel; a lead tank (4) axially slidably inserted in the barrel; a back chuck (5) fixedly joined to the front end of the lead tank; a chuck ring (6) loosely fitted on the chucking head (5a) of the back chuck; a tubular member (7) disposed so as to surround the front portion of the lead tank; a back elastic member (8) placed in the tubular member so as to bias the lead tank backward; a coupling member (9) combined with the tubular member, and provided in its inner circumference with stopping portions with which the tubular member and the chuck ring come into contact, respectively; a front chuck (12) fixedly joined to the front portion of the coupling member; and a front elastic member (11) interposed between the barrel cap and the coupling member so as to bias the coupling member backward. A rotation prohibiting means (28) permits the axial movement of the coupling member and prohibits the rotation of the same relative to the tubular member. A tail cap (25) is attached to the back end of the barrel and a push cap (27) is put detachably on the back end of the lead tank. Another rotation prohibiting means permits the axial movement of the push cap and prohibits the rotation of the same relative to the tail cap.
