    • PURPOSE: To completely house a slider in a lock and also protrude a lead S from a slider tip portion by disposing therein a knock operation section capable of operating side knocking and a cylindrical ring coupled with an inner sleeve tip. CONSTITUTION: An operation convex portion 22 of a knock operation section 2 is pressed by a forefinger against elastic materials 17 and 18 when a lead S is worn while the upper half portion of a slider 9 is held in a writing position. When a lever 3 is turned by the side-knock operation and an outer sleeve 4 and a stopper 19 are pressed and moved forward, an inner sleeve 5, a lead feeding mechanism 6, a cylindrical ring 7 and an unlocking ring 8 are integrally advanced at a distance (b) until the tip of the cylindrical ring 7 is in contact with an inner stair portion 101d of a tipping tool 1D. The distance (b) corresponds to the volume that the lead is fed. When a forefinger is released from the operation convex section 22, inner and outer sleeves 4 and 5 and stopper 19 are retreated by elastic force of the elastic materials 17 and 18. By this retreating movement, the slider 9 is housed in an external cylinder 1 and held locked at a complete housing position within the tipping tool 1D.

    • PURPOSE:To enable efficient assembly by providing a lead chuck having a sliding contact part so that at the time of mounting the lead chuck into a sleeve, the sliding contact part easily presses against, broadens and gets over a projected part of the sleeve by utilizing its own curved surface parts. CONSTITUTION:A second elastic body 56 is fitted over the outer periphery of an assembled lead chuck 51. The lead chuck 51 in this condition is inserted into a sleeve 4 from the rear side, and is moved forward by pushing by, for example, a jig. The inside diameter X of a projected part 44 of the sleeve 4 is smaller than the outside diameter Y of a sliding contact part 53 of the lead chuck 51. In the forward movement of the lead chuck 51, therefore, the sliding contact part 53 presses against the projected part 44 and gets over the part 44 while broadening the projected part 44 by utilizing its own curved surface parts. The lead chuck 51 is composed of cast metallic pieces or a synthetic resin with a high hardness, and the sliding contact part 53 is projected at only two curved surface parts, so that it can gets over the projected part 44 of the sleeve 4 by pressing the projected part 44 wider. Then, a metallic tube 54 is slantly inserted into the sleeve 4 from the front side in the manner of being caught by one side of the sliding contact part 53, and the lead chuck 51 is disposed in a predetermined position in the sleeve 4.
