摘要： A rotary impact tool includes a motor housing, an electric motor supported in the motor housing, and a drive assembly for converting a continuous torque input from the motor to consecutive rotational impacts upon a workpiece. The drive assembly includes an anvil including an anvil lug and a hammer that is both rotationally and axially movable relative to the anvil. The hammer includes a hammer lug for imparting the consecutive rotational impacts upon the anvil lug. The rotary impact tool further comprises a printed circuit board assembly including a sensor that is configured to detect rotation of the anvil. The printed circuit board assembly is spaced from the anvil to define an axial gap therebetween.

摘要： A rotary impact tool including a motor having a motor shaft that produces a rotational output to drive a gear assembly and a drive assembly driven by the gear assembly. The drive assembly including a hammer coupled to the motor shaft and an anvil configured to receive an impact from the hammer. The rotary impact tool includes a torque stick coupled to the anvil and configured to limit the amount of deliverable torque to a workpiece in accordance with a torsional stiffness of the torque stick, a position sensor to detect angular displacement of the anvil, and a controller in electrical communication with the position sensor. The controller calculates torque delivered to the workpiece from the impact by multiplying the torsional stiffness of the torque stick and the signal from the position sensor, and control the motor based on the torque delivered to the workpiece.

A hammer is rotationally and axially movable relative to the anvil for imparting the consecutive rotational impacts upon the anvil. A spring biases the hammer in an axial direction toward the anvil. A battery pack has a nominal voltage of at least 18 Volts and a nominal capacity of at least 5 Ah. The rotary impact tool has an overall weight including the battery pack that is less than or equal to 7.5 pounds. A ratio of the fastening torque to the overall weight is greater than or equal to 120 ft-lbs per pound.

摘要： A transducer assembly for use in a power tool includes a bracket affixed to a housing of the power tool and a protrusion having an arcuate outer periphery. The protrusion is offset from a central axis of the bracket and extends from the bracket in a direction parallel with the central axis. The transducer assembly also includes a transducer having an inner hub with an aperture through which a distal end of the protrusion is received. The arcuate outer periphery of the protrusion is in substantially line contact with a wall segment at least partially defining the aperture. The transducer also includes an outer rim affixed to a ring gear of the power tool, a flexible web interconnecting the inner hub to the rim, and a sensor affixed to the flexible web for detecting strain of the flexible web in response to a reaction torque applied to the ring gear.

The auxiliary handle assembly includes a mount coupled to the housing, an auxiliary handle coupled to the mount and spaced from the first handle, and an adjustment mechanism. Loosening the adjustment mechanism permits rotation of the auxiliary handle assembly about the longitudinal axis relative to the housing, and tightening the adjustment mechanism secures the auxiliary handle assembly in a selected rotational position.
