摘要： A collapsible apparatus is provided that includes a frame configured to form a closed loop, the frame being moveable between a coiled configuration and an uncoiled configuration. A sleeve is configured to receive the frame and to define an opening within at least a portion of the closed loop. An attachment mechanism is coupled substantially about the periphery of the sleeve. A fabric member is removably coupled to the sleeve such that it is easily removed. A method of making mats according to an embodiment of the invention includes cutting fabric members from a first sheet of material, cutting body membranes from a second sheet of material such that the amount of excess material from the second sheet of material between adjacent body membranes is minimized, and attaching one of the body membranes to one of the fabric members.

The carrier release sheet includes a cylindrical cavity of an improved configuration for receiving the preloaded pad of the electrode in a noncontacting relationship and a tab integrally formed with the remainder of the carrier release sheet so as to enable quick and easy release of the carrier sheet from the adhesive coating.

摘要： The present invention provides methods and apparatus for calibrating and controlling output power levels in a broadband communication system. The power level of an intermediate frequency (IF) signal may be varied at a first attenuator. The IF signal from the first attenuator may be frequency converted at a mixer to provide a desired transmit frequency converted signal. The power level of the frequency converted signal may be adjusted at a second attenuator. The signal may be sampled after the second attenuator in order to detect its output power level. The detected output power level may be compared with a reference level to obtain a difference signal. The difference signal may be used in a feedback loop to adjust the power level of the signal output from the first attenuator so that a constant output power level is maintained. Methods and apparatus for calibrating output power levels are also provided.

摘要： A method of determining one or more physical properties of a rolled smoking article is disclosed, the method comprising disposing a rolled smoking article within a field of view, illuminating the field of view, imaging the rolled smoking article to form an image, and analysing the image to determine one or more physical properties of the rolled smoking article. Preferably the image is a digital image, which may be electronically processed to determine the physical properties. The physical properties may include the length of the rolled smoking article, or its mean diameter, ovality, circumference, roundness or shape. Also disclosed is an apparatus for performing such method comprising imaging means defining the field of view, means for positioning a smoking article in the field of view, illuminating means for illuminating the field of view, and processing means for processing the image to determine one more physical properties.
