    • A pneumatic tire in which an air-permeation prevention layer (7) comprising a film of a polymer composition including a thermoplastic resin or a blend of a thermoplastic resin and an elastomer whose air permeability coefficient is 25x10 cc.cm/cm .sec.cmHg or smaller and whose Young's modulus of elasticity ranges 1 to 1,000 MPa is disposed so as to substantially cover portions of an inner surface of the tire extending from ends of a belt (6) at least 20mm towards the crown center (C) and at most portions of an inner surface of the tire extending from positions 20mm away from the belt ends towards a bead toward the crown center (C), while an air-permeation prevention layer (8) formed of rubber is disposed so as to substantially cover the remaining inner surface of the tire and in which an air-permeation prevention layer (8) having actual breaking elongations of 15% or larger in circumferential and radial directions of the tire is used on the side portion of the tire ranging from at least 0.5 to 0.65 times the cross-sectional height of the tire.
