    • A carbon black filled rubber composition prepared by subjecting a rubber latex mixture comprising a latex of at least one raw rubber (A) having an average glass transition temperature (TgA) of -120 to -15 DEG C, carbon black and a portion of a softener to solidification, dehydration and drying to prepare a carbon black filled rubber composition, and kneading this composition together with another raw rubber (B) and another portion of a softener in an internal mixer, wherein the FA/FB ratio is 1.2 to 3.0, FA referring to the carbon black concentration of the rubber latex mixture based on the rubber polymer and FB to that of the rubber composition prepared by the above kneading based thereon; and another carbon black filled rubber composition prepared by bringing a raw rubber (A') comprising a polymer having functional groups of formula (I) bonded to the polymer chain either directly or through other atomic groups or a terminally modified diene polymer into contact with carbon black and then blending the resulting material with another raw rubber (B') comprising a diene raw rubber.

    • A process (i) for producing a rubber composition from a feedstock rubber (A) comprising a terminal-modified and/or coupled diene rubber and having an average glass transition temperature of TgA ( DEG C), a feedstock rubber (B) comprising a terminal-unmodified diene rubber and having a glass transition temperature of TgA and a specific average glass transition temperature of TgB ( DEG C), a reinforcement, and a softener, which comprises mixing the rubber (A) with a specific proportion of the reinforcement at 135 DEG C or higher and mixing the mixture with the rubber (B), the remaining reinforcement, and the softener; another process (ii) for producing a rubber composition which comprises contacting a diene rubber (A') having a specific weight-average molecular weight Mw (A') and an average glass transition temperature of TgA' ( DEG C) with a reinforcement and mixing the mixture with a diene rubber (B') having a specific weight-average molecular weight Mw (B) and an average glass transition temperature of TgB' ( DEG C) and with a softener; and still another process (iii) for producing a rubber composition from 100 parts by weight of feedstock rubbers consisting of a rubber (A") comprising 20 to 100 wt.% terminal-modified and/or coupled diene rubber and a rubber (B") comprising a terminal-unmodified and/or uncoupled diene rubber and from a specific carbon black (X) and a softener, which comprises mixing the rubber (A") with specific proportions of the rubber (B"), carbon black, and softener at 135 DEG C or higher and mixing the mixture with the remaining rubber (B"), carbon black, and softener.
