    • In a miniaturized relay for explosion endangered regions, the coil, core, and yoke are cast integrally into the carrier part. This extension and the rest of the partition are provided with a groove into which a rib on the cap encompassing the relay protrudes in order to elongate the air and leakage path between the contact units on the one side of the partition and the contact units on the other side of the partition. Air and leakage paths of at least 10 mm are maintained between the contacts and the electrically conductive parts of the magnetic circuit. A double insulation is provided between the contacts on the one side of the partition and those on the other.
